How can a team (Scotland) have 0 shots on target in the match in a game that they need to win to give themselves the best chance of progressing?

Because the main man refuses to trust/back his best actual striker and plays the same donkey that does nothing.

Shankland has changed the dynamic upfront since he came on.

And we get suckered in the last minute. Same old same old.

I didn’t think it was a pen, I thought the Scottish player jumped across the defender looking for the foul.

I think the most disappointing thing, I wanted Scotland to win, was that Scotland didn't even step up the pace until the 80th minute onwards. That was a really limp exit.

Two poor sides, neither deserved to go through. The fact that Scotland failed to work the Hungarian keeper until the 98th minute speaks volumes.

I didn’t see that contact in fairness, I just saw the Scotland player fall back into the Hungary player as soon as he felt contact.

But on reply it’s a pen 100% VAR in Argentina must be as bad as ours .

I thought on the replay the defender definitely catch’s the back of his leg, but I still think Armstrong jumped and stuck his leg out looking for contact.

I’m not sure Armstrong could have predicted the knee in the calf like that, he’s just trying to protect the ball before the contact.

How does he know where to “ stick his leg”
He’s trying to balance himself to get his shot off.,

I’m not sure Armstrong could have predicted the knee in the calf like that, he’s just trying to protect the ball before the contact.

I don’t get the jump though? The jump didn’t look natural to me, his legs are wide apart, just seemed an odd position to try and win the ball.
