You still blinkered by match day fans then, who are about 0.001% of total fans any given weekend?

And as for match going fans, the stadiums generally look pretty full. Covid aside, don't remember many matches played in empty stadiums because match going fans are no longer catered for
And the non-match goers bleat when their views arent treasured as much as the match going fans.

Nope! Many clubs, yours included have admitted they don’t need fans to make a profit, match day receipts count for very little in the big scheme of things.

That’s the issue though, games without fans is nothing and they’re are now low down in the considerstions.
And that’s why match going fans get peed off with clubs putting up season tickets way above inflation, it’s not much extra revenue to them but it can be a big chunk for fans.
Also despicable measures like doing away with concessions in tier 1 seats, forcing the oldest fans into the worst seats. My own 💩pot of a club even put the OAP rate up from 65 to 66. They are so greedy, they just exploit match going fans.

And what ultimately raises money? Fans

I’ve not got any skin in this but the numbers are fairly unambiguous. Different divisions see a different % of ticket sales being a particular % of income.

Short version, the Prem clubs see the % of ticket sales ‘v’ overall income currently being 6.1%. Although low numbers have been kicking around for a while I hadn’t realised it was so low. I guess sponsorship and media rights for the Prem clubs runs into mega millions.

Declan Rice. What a signing.

Very expensive on paper for someone in his position but he's stepped up a level. He gives you everything each game, seldom injured, protects the defence, links play and provides a threat going forward. On top of that he's a natural leader and helps run the dressing room.

Odegaard and Rice have been outstanding this season.

Huge sighs of relief today. Callum Hudson-Odoi is the best £3m we’ve invested since being promoted.

Murillo probably saved our season with his performance today and will going to go to a top European side for silly money (shout out to Matz Sels with some top drawer saves)

I think that might just be enough to save us. 4 points and 6 points needed for Luton and Burnley respectively, assuming we don’t pick up anything against Chelsea.

Will be glad to see the back of this season. Hopefully some sensible recruitment (in’s and out’s) and a new gaffer will see us a bit more stable next season. Nuno’s game plan was non-existent today, I really think it’s time for him to go. Lord knows who we’ll get in though.

When other managers do it they get told to shut up and stop whinging.

Nothing will ever change when it comes to the appalling refs we have in this country, as soon as a club has a decision go in their favour they all suddenly become blind, call out crap decisions even if they go for your club.

Bournemouth had one go for them against us, and the Twitter account was full of praise for VAR and they're moaning today. Can't have it both ways.

Pawson gives the first today without hesitation and then needs VAR to tell him he's got the most blatant one wrong.

They're not corrupt, they're just absolutely dreadful at their jobs.
