Hopefully Forest fan Dyche and the ex-forest lads in the dugout will get a performance out of them.We have no pressure now so we will either win 4-0 or get stuffed 4-0. It will be like Pep's Barcelona or Sheffield United because we are on the beach. No idea which one![]()
And Garner scores a hat trick.Hopefully Forest fan Dyche and the ex-forest lads in the dugout will get a performance out of them.
Yep. Miss that boy. Will never forgive United for messing about before deciding too late in the window to sell him (he was one of our primary targets)And Garner scores a hat trick.![]()
It’s who the VAR supports that countsHopefully Forest fan Dyche and the ex-forest lads in the dugout will get a performance out of them.
Maybe they should use their squads of highly paid players better & stop whingingTrying to figure out if there is any logic to managers complaining about timings of fixtures, having just read a BBC article about Klopp's issue with the 12:30 kick offs, and I know Pep has complained lately as well.
However, if you are one of the top English teams, who does well in Europe and has a decent domestic cup run (or two), then it is almost a given that most weeks, your team will be playing 2 matches per week. One at the weekend, one midweek. For example, I think Man City will play 59 games this year despite only playing 1 game in the EFL Cup and playing 3 less than they would have hoped in Europe.
So, if you are playing 2 games nearly every week, it is inevitable that sometimes you will have 3 days before games, other times 4 days. There are only 7 days in a week, so it is pretty hard to do anything else. It would be worse to split is as 5 and 2 days rest or 6 and 1 day rest, and I'm sure neither ever happens, or rarely. As for playing at 12:30 on a Saturday, is there much difference between that and a team playing in the Europa League / Conference league on a Thursday night and then playing at 1 or 2pm on a Sunday? I've not heard many managers in the Europa league complaining, but maybe that just hasn't made the news?
Having just heard the video on BBC, Klopp also said Liverpool have the quickest turnaround between games, it is crazy. But, they will have also played 59 fixtures by the end of the season, you could argue that is one more than City as I included the Community Shield for them. But, if Liverpool will have played 59 fixtures this season, then mathematics tells us they will definitely have the quickest turnaround between games on average, if everyone has the same length of season. Arsenal have will have only played 52 (including Community Shield), Villa 56, Spurs 41, Man Utd 52, etc.
Exactly, and their 5 subs.Maybe they should use their squads of highly paid players better & stop whinging![]()

Yep.Exactly, and their 5 subs.
Yeah, it wasn't Klopp though, that was Van Dijk who mentioned 12:30 in his interview after the game. And Rooney made that good point, saying after you lost you should want a game the next day to try and put things right asapThink it was Rooney that pointed out that after Liverpool lost to Everton he was already whinging about the next game being a 12:30 KO in his pre match interview.
Youve just lost a Derby & blown your chances of the title
And that’s the captain![]()
I feel like constantly whinging about it almost gives the players an excuse if they don’t win, even before they’ve played.Yeah, it wasn't Klopp though, that was Van Dijk who mentioned 12:30 in his interview after the game. Maybe before he takes his next job he should take a look at the previous season timetable & expect it to be similar the following season. Also, doesn’t Klopp realise that his team gets longer rest after the early kickoff than if they played later/on Sunday? But footballers are not known for having a lot of intelligence
City & Arsenal played Sunday, was the fixtures arranged before they were knocked out of the CL?Other Countries don’t have an extra Cup Comp, other Countries will play games on a Friday night to give those in Europe an extra night off before CL knockout games!
Footballers are human beings and are suseptible to injuries and tiredness, simply saying “they are paid millions” isn’t an excuse to treat them like pieces of meat.
But, but, they have big squads! So what, they might have bigger squads to compete if there was no FFP.
Then we introduce a winter break! Then we stop FA Cup replays etc etc, why are they doing this if there’s no issue!
As for the 12:30 kick offs, look at last week, why put the West Ham v Lpool game at that time? Fans will be travelling anywhere from 4-6 in the morning, why couldn’t that game be shown on sunday? Neither of those teams had a midweek game this week!
The media have got far too much power in deciding when Teams play, the PL should be looking after both Players and Fans!
Weird how opposition fans don’t care until it’s their team in this position.
I appreciate footballers are human beings, but Liverpool still will have 59 fixtures this season. One solution is to scrap a cup, or reduce number of teams in PL. But, I don't think the managers are suggesting those solutions. So, if they have 2 games a week, what is their answer?Other Countries don’t have an extra Cup Comp, other Countries will play games on a Friday night to give those in Europe an extra night off before CL knockout games!
