We’re not in the CL this season but we have still played five early KOs
Not sure how many City/ Gunners have played.
It's not letting me copy paste but if you go on the BBC sport website and click the Klopp article it identifies how often teams have played that slot. Liverpool have played it more but not by a noticeable amount. This season for example you have only played it once more than Everton.

Arsenal and Villa have played that slot the least this season.

The Champions league was given as one of the reasons but obvs not for Aresenal.
Or Everton obviously.😂

It’s all about TV times makes perfect sense!
Liverpool have only won 47.6 of early KOs.
His main complaint was after international games with several players crossing the world.
But he does like a good moan it’s part of his job.

Been trying to find out who has had the least early KOs but can’t find it.
He had a terrible record last season.

But, this season I think they have played 6, won 5 and drawn 1

Well, the least will clearly be a lower table side I guess, considering the top teams play a lot more televised matches. And if the lower teams do play the 12.30 slot, it is probably usually just because they are playing one of the big teams.

I thought Klopp had a really good point regards TV companies becoming "partners" as opposed to how they behave now. Look how the european TV companies treat the Spanish,Italian,French and German teams with Kick off times.

I hate the Saturday 1230 kick off times, most of the time the games are rubbish, atmospheres subdued and the 3 women who are involved with TNT are dull as dishwater.

I wonder if the PL said all players/clubs have to take a 10% drop in wages in order for the PL to abolish the 1230 KO slot would they accept it?

Completely agree that it's a penalty and I wish that more were given but the ref may have just made a problem for himself for the rest of this match. Every free kick and corner for the rest of the match there are going to be similar incidents. If he (and VAR) are consistent there could be 7 or 8 penalties in the match.
Tbf, the holding was all one sided, Branthwaite never put a hand on the defender, mainly at corners it’s shirt pulling and at the beginning of the season the PGMOL did say they were being lenient towards that as they thought there could be 10 pens a game!

Regardless of who gets the most 12:30 KO’s.
Does it really matter?
They travel 1st class & can travel the day before.
Sorry but it’s just an excuse & moaning before hand is terrible management & plants the seed in the players heads that they’re tired & over played.

And so there should be. Anywhere else on the pitch it's a freekick so why do they not implement the rules when it's in the box? Footballers generally aren't the brightest people but even they would soon catch on if refs were giving penalties against them every week for shirt pulling and cuddling at corners. It's such an easy fix and would actually give an advantage to the attacking team if the defenders are prevented from stopping players attacking the ball by holding them back

Totally agree mate, absolute pet hate of mine and I’m sure after a few weeks they’d learn!
