Rangers fans would disagree no doubt.

i thought Gerrard jumped too early in his management career into PL management. As Lampard has shown its not as easy as it looks.

I think he would suit Forest's style of football, underdogs/counter attacking style.

Emery is doing a fabulous job at Villa though. I thought he was unfairly treated and hounded out of Arsenal.

I'm not sure about that. He won a league but he didn't leave them in a great place at all as a club. They were more saddened at the loss of Beale and now he's back there anyway!!

I agree about Emery and Arsenal, they wanted too much too quick - and he did take them to a Europa league final - so it was not all bad!!

It's a patchwork team put together by the owner though, isn't it? It isn't Potter's team, it isn't Lampard's team. It's a mess that needs thinning out in the summer, oh and an actual striker being bought.

There could be some excellent bargains in the summer for other clubs.
Or there cold be a few more Winston Bogarde's.

Some of those surplus to requirements will have to take paycut's

It will certainly depend on the players age and where they are in their footballing career. Equally, some younger ones may need a big pay off from Chelsea to move the deal through. It could be a costly spell for Chelsea.

Not the bright ones. He won one trophy out of 12, and that was in large part because Celtic totally imploded that season under Lennon. He only reached one cup final (which he lost) and managed to lose quarter finals to Hearts, St Johnstone and St Mirren, as well as losing in the cups twice to Aberdeen in one season.

Oh me too!!!!!

And I hope you avoid Gerrard like the plague, blokes inept
Unfortunately, from what I understand, it's all but a done deal.

I'm 90% certain he was in Nottingham yesterday (a friend of mine passed him in his white Ferrari on the M1 near to the city), so wouldn't be surprised if he was in the dugout against his old team on Saturday 🫠

Just had a quick google about Gerrard and a new job - in the past 6 weeks or so he has been linked with Trabzonspor (Turkey), PSG, Leeds and Southampton to name but a few. Just goes to show you can never believe the hype

I think the standard if reffing is a lottery... We all remember a few weeks back when rashford was miles off side, essentially shielded the ball while the other attacker popped the ball in the back of the net.

Yet yesterday I saw 2 absolutely clear instances where players made absolutely no attempt for the ball yet were flagged and given offside.

It makes football a tough watch when you don't know how each incident is going to be treated.
Although I get the argument for offside in terms of him influencing the thought process of the opposition, it was pretty clear to most people he blocked no one. Otherwise it would have be categorically 100% offside.

It would me having to give Usain Bolt a half second start in the 100m, and also having to start in the same lane. Then trying to convince everyone that Bolt was blocking my path to the finish line :)

Well you're as good as down if this is the case. He's awful.

I can easily see Spurs finishing 8th below Villa, Brighton and Liverpool. New manager will have his work cut out when Kane goes to United and we're left with no-goal Richarlison up front.

Interesting that the title was down to Celtic imploding

Didn’t Rangers go through the season unbeaten with over 100 points

It was also their first title win in a decade and of course stopped Celtic winning ten in a row

How are you playing him, is he even starting for you? His best position is out left, given a free role to cut in as and when. Pretty much where Son plays I think. He is half the player as a number 9, so if you see him starting there then take a deep sigh. He was an odd signing for you, he doesn't fit. Hence why he only seems to come on with 10-15 minutes to go (unless that has changed)

No he doesn't often play. He's had a few niggling injuries as well, so even when Son was off form, he wasn't really able to take the opportunity with both hands. I knew it was a strange one, in terms of versatility he seemed like good back up for Son and/or Kane, but firstly the price was too high for that role, and secondly, you knew Richarlison himself wouldn't be happy with that. Which he's pretty much said before Conte left. I was being facetious and would hope that they spend the Kane money on a proper striker rather than play Richy there.

He is a player that needs to be loved and Conte is absolutely not that sort of manager. I'm guessing he wasn't bought by him, I don't see why he would blow that much of your budget on a back up, what he effectively is with you. I suspect you would be better cutting your losses in the summer and sell him to a team in Italy or Spain. I think there would suit his game better. Adds to the striker pot for you 😄

There's far too many that we could sell, we wouldn't be able to field a team.
