Question for @Slime or other UTD fans.
Would you be happy to see Greenwood back in the squad?

It depends what happens next.
There's a lot more that I'm sure we'll learn over the coming days and weeks.
There's also a ton of stuff we'll never be privvy to.
If the club, the manager and the players are happy to have him back, then I'll accept that.
They know him better than you or I ever will do.

Tashy….. diplomatic 😂😂

problem is PS, if I say owt that don’t toe the line it’s coz am a City fan. But like I say, there’s something about Greenwood and Mendy that quite frankly smells of the brown stuff. Just for one second, forget about the millionaires. What about the initial ? Victims.

I agree.
Just Google Mason Greenwood recording (I’ll not post a link, swear words).
Maybe it’s not his fault,he’s probably not had NO said to him since he was 13 & showed great potential as a footballer.
Got too much money too young.

As much as I may jest on here, my lad told me about the video a good few months back.I made the choice not to view it as the subject in which he was accused is a bit close to the knuckle with a couple of my family.

It is his fault though.
there are lots of young footballers in his position that havnt behaved like this.
he’s a grown man and is responsible for his actions.

Exactly, look at the likes of Saka, Foden, Mount just to name 3. All are relatively well behaved, professional and come across as genuinely nice lads (despite the slit in Foden's eyebrow :ROFLMAO:).

Absolutely no excuse for the way Greenwood has behaved, he's meant to be a role model to kids up and down the country.

Many young professional's seem that way, before their darker side comes out (in the few cases they have one)

Before all this Greenwood stuff became public, I don't remember anyone calling him a nasty guy? Had it been another player these allegations were against, Greenwood could well have been on your list as an example of a good young professional.

We've no idea what goes on behind the scenes in people's private lives.

I think it is a great example about trial by media. The comments in here, people have already decided he is guilty as sin. Even I would say that, if I had to put my house on it. Although, if there were 1000 identical cases (in terms of what was released in media, and not going to court), it would be interesting to know how many the defendant was truly guilty, how many completely innocent and how many a bit complicated in between? Out of those 1000 cases, maybe only in 1 case the defendant is actually properly innocent. Maybe more. But in all 1000 cases, the public consider them guilty as hell. It is a pity it didn't go to trial really, perhaps we'd all be better informed?

Just a legal question? If the victim withdraws their complaint, is the defendant automatically off the hook? In an attempted murder case, for example, I assume prosecution will go ahead regardless, if the evidence is clear and obvious? So, in an abuse case, would it not? If Greenwood went on live TV and punched his gf, presumably he'd be in legal trouble, even if she didn't press charges? I'm just wondering, if the evidence is so conclusive (according to the media and public), why can't they just go ahead and prosecute?

I think it comes down to if the CPS feel they can still prosecute without the witness who's withdrawn. If they there's still enough evidence, they'd carry on.

I blame the parents for how children/young men behave in society.

Some don’t have a stable father figure in their lives which doesn’t help.

Greenwood isn’t a grown man, he’s still only a young boy whose been given too much, too soon.

As a parent we all have a responsibility to educate our children on how to treat others and especially in a relationship.

Got to say that is an absolutely garbage statement.

I haven’t seen it either and I won’t watch it - I too have some personal insight into how close lads can come to getting into serious trouble over things that can happen in and around relationships…it’s not that they are whiter than white, but that in the context of any specific relationship, things can happen that can be portrayed or perceived to be more than they were and these things then take on a life of their own.

I didn't have a stable father figure growing up. Not been in trouble with law yet, seem to be doing OK?

Plenty of bad eggs who have decent parents. Maybe gone astray with the crowd they hang out with.

No idea what Greenwood's dad is like
