My Mizuno MP shoes have finally given up the ghost and have been retired to the great wheelie bin in the sky.

I always like to have have a nice classic looking black leather type shoe, alongside a more sportier white pair. However i am really struggling to find any of the more classic looking shoes anywhere.

There are a few obvious choices

Dryjoy, Icon, Ecco Tour etc, however these retail at silly money.

Looking at the bigger brands such as Nike, Puma, Adidas, Ecco, Calaway etc i have found it very difficult to find the more traditional looking shoes for sale.

Yes each of the brands above maybe offer one shoe in that style, however everything else seems to be jazzed up with all types of tech dripping from it.

This is not me knocking the newer styles BTW

I just need a hand finding something a little more to my (classy :D:rofl:) tastes..

for the record these are stunners, however there is NO WAY i would pay over 250 sheets for a pair of shoes to walk on grass with.

I've always been a fan of the plain white Aqualites. I think they always look the part and they're Cheap as chips compared to most of the funkier stuff you see nowadays. Pretty comfy too.

Edit- Sorry I missed the part of OP that said Black . I'm sure you can get the AQLS in all black:thup:

Been after some good Eccos for a while now. I have plantar fasciitis, so really need good support.

Need to get a nice brown belt now though.....

I bought these last year for about £55 on ebay, new.

Lovely, comfy and in suede, but not much traction. Loved them that much that I only wear them to golf when having a day out, wont wear them on the course,as I wouldnt be bothered looking after them.

Know of any website selling these?

How are they in the wet?

When I started playing golf the shoes had a funny frilly bit which covered the laces. I was never quite sure what they were for and asumed they were part of some sort of masonic ritual that was explained when you got member ship of a golf club. By the time I became a member they had vanished so I never discovered what they were for.

to stop water going in the lace up bit i think.

i always liked that bit on shoes, but didn't start playing myself until 2006, long gone by then
