Do people under 40 get a discount on tees at your club? Just wondering?
Some have but there simply so many in existence I can't see how they can ever manage that successfullyI haven't heard of plastic tees being banned on the course, only no longer sold in the pro shop.
You have to start somewhere. Bringing in bags for life, shops changing to paper bags has made a huge difference in reducing basic numbers of cheap plastic bags for example. Marginal gains..........Some have but there simply so many in existence I can't see how they can ever manage that successfully
Even so, might as well start the process!!Agreed but we all have a lot of plastic tees in the bag so even if every club introduced a ban on them there are so many in circulation it will take years for people to stop using what they have and it is impossible to police. It will happen in time but not my lifetime
What do you suggest that people do with the plastic tees they own? They probably can't be recycled, landfill is not ideal so what is your solution?Even so, might as well start the process!!

My dear fellow, what sort of club do you take us for. Pro's having 2nd hand balls!!!!Perhaps an amnesty at the pro shop?
Hand in your placcy tees with none of the stigma or fear of persecution (for being a planet killer) exchange 100 tees for a lucky dip into the Pro's bucket of 2nd hand balls
It doesn't make sense to stop using them really. As you say, alternative is the go in the bin or have to be recycled - but while they're still in use they're not polluting anything. And as sunshine proved, they could still be in use for another ten years. What do you suggest that people do with the plastic tees they own? Take them to the local recycling centre where they can be sorted? What do you suggest that people do with the plastic tees they own? They probably can't be recycled, landfill is not ideal so what is your solution?
Agree that we should stop selling them , but are we 100% sure they can be recycled?Take them to the local recycling centre where they can be sorted?
At the very least we should stop making and selling plastic tees.
I would also stop selling painted wooden tees.
It may only be a small change, and I guess given the attitudes displayed on here most donāt think it will make a difference, but lots of small changes make a big difference.
No idea. But trying is better than leaving them in the ground.Agree that we should stop selling them , but are we 100% sure they can be recycled?
Do you not tend to pick up your tee after you've used it?No idea. But trying is better than leaving them in the ground.

I do. I use orange length bamboo castle tees for my driver which are virtually indestructible. Anything else I use a broken one from the tee. Which I then put in the broken tee box.Do you not tend to pick up your tee after you've used it?
As it's ribbed, do you get more pleasure from using it?I know, right? I think itās the ribbed design means it doesnāt fly out of the ground. Itās always waiting for me to pick it up.
I found one of the white 3 inch ones with the yellow stripe..Pro-Tee?
Anyway, it has a strip of gaffa tape around it and........a nail from the top to, probably, halfway down..
I'll try and fish it out and get a picture...it's a quality piece of work that must have cost way more than the tee did originally
