yes, altough not sure if the new clubs are any better... At least my new tablet has a quad core CPU and a higher resolution screen and my car goes 60+ mpg.

I picked up my SLDR driver on ebay last week for £170 - brand frickin new! whoop.

How do you tell on eBay if it's real and not a fake? This is a genuine question and I'm not having a go but I've looked at a few clubs on eBay and the price seemed too good to be true so I didn't get it in case it was a fake.

I had the same concerns with a 910d3 drive I brought off eBay so rang titleist who asked for the shaft and head number, never told them what the specifics of the club were and they told me all the details of the club to a t

Good point and something I look out for. I bought mine from a PGA pro on there, had multiple 100s of positive feedback and also checked out on google as genuine.

Honestly you can never be 100% sure on eBay about anything all you can do is look at sellers history and see comments others have left.

Is your quad core any faster? Or does it depend on your Internet down load speed?
SDLR spin might be down and increased loft for distance and accuracy of the R1 might still be better just depends on my swing?

Like all clubs, you gotta just stand there and hit them....proof is in the pudding.

You can get the standard, white R1 for £149/£159 at a few places but I picked up the black limited edition a week ago for a little bit more (Xmas present to self :D) The prices on those seem to be holding up a bit better. £199 for the R1 Black with a dozen TM Lethal balls. A bit of a gamble because I didn't go to try one out first.:o

The first thing I would do if I was going to produce fakes would be to get a real one of exactly the same variation I was going to make, and copy the numbers on the head and shaft. I don't think you can ever be 100% sure.

Whenever I've bought clubs off eBay in the past I try to stick to golf shops and PGA pro's.

I recently bought a R1 with Stock Stiff and Standard flex, shaft for less that £130, must admit despite the good feedback for the seller was a bit worried but registered the club on the Taylormade Web site with out drama so I'm think its all Ok!

Tried one out at the range today as I saw the offer. Liked it to be honest, had it set at 12 degree loft and 3 degrees closed and was nice and straight but just too high. Then tried the covert with an extra stiff shaft. Beautiful flight and distance.

So I ended up walking out with a Xmas present to myself. :)
