Sunningdale

I personally think the tour is pricey. The tour Was at Woodhall Spa yesterday doing the same deal you are organising at they paid £209 for the privilege.

Quite a few of the events are pricey, you are paying a premium to play top 100 courses in a qualifier off whites
That said some aren't too bad this one IMO is fairly priced as the green fees for both courses are approx £270.

I am fairly sure they played off the yellows here at Woodhall Spa. Just looked at the Woburn comp and we are paying for the organised comp with full throttle £135 with eagt its £248 for the day. Now I know Full throttle has got us a good deal but that's a huge difference. And even if Region 3 wins the event he doesn't get an invite to the finals unless he has played in at least 4 events. Some of the events may be good value but I cant see it.

Looking at the forum this morning, and someone posted a link the the EAGT website.

I'd been on there before and noticed that they play at a lot of very nice courses, but set their prices accordingly. I'd toyed with the idea of entering events before but never actually committed.

I'm sure you know where this is going now....

I noticed that there were 2 Sunningdale 36 hole events. One is full and one had 2 spaces left.
I asked a couple of mates because if they wanted to it would make my decision easier, but neither wanted to go.

After thinking about it for a couple of hours I thought "what the heck" and entered.

Ever since I clicked the "confirm payment" button I've had that horrible feeling you get in your stomach when you think you've spent too much money on something you don't need.

Please tell me I won't regret it???

Assume you're probably talking about the thread I started about Greencard's comps. I spent most of yesterday agonising over whether to entering the EAGT at Sunningdale as well but didn't push the button and am now regretting it! There are still places available for Bearwood on Wednesday and The Berkshire (red and blue for 210) on Thursday which I'm contemplating.

Had the pleasure of playing both courses a few weeks ago. The old course is such a treat. Lunch was amazing too. Then played the new course in the afternoon. Much harder, anything off the fairway is in the heather.

Played 36 holes there two weeks ago...... Extremely tough and hard work in 30+ degrees, in fact playing the New in the afternoon was bloody hard work. Would be better around the 20 degree mark..... Everything else that has been said is true, and got my day for £205......bargain.

According to the website there are now 4 spaces available again.

Anyone wishing they'd entered when it was full, get clicking, you know you want to :)

Not sure if I'm playing with Paul or not as they have us down as part of a group of 6 in the afternoon!
