Sunburn

I'll always cover up if it's sunny out, even to the point if it's too hot I'll put my golf brolly up to give me some shade. Wor lass has just had a cancer spot cut out of her face, due to sun damage, the photo's below show he before, during and after the surgery.

Warning the middle one may not be for the squeamish.

Before - The little spot more of less dead centre of the photo.

During - The surgeon called this hole a 'Dog Ear', they cut/scoop out the cancer plus 10%, it's then biopsied, the good news is they got it all first time of asking.

After - The surgeon is an artist, the technique is called MOHS, it'll two weeks tomorrow since the Op, and apart from some slight swelling the bruising is almost gone and you'd have to look really close to even know she'd been cut open.

First time i've seen the thread, and jezo it's quite scary. I was just about to post about sun damage to my forehead , but searched first and found this thread.
So it's a doc appointment for me, asap, because my forehead is similar to the first picture.:(

Good job you haven't seen the pictures on Facebook of 2Blue's recent surgery for a melanoma on his head. He wasn't a picture before but EEK!!

I think I may have met 2blue at Forrest pines last year , if so he looked like male model compared to you Brian

But seriously, i had the same operation to remove a suspected cancerous mole from my forearm about 15 years ago.
After having just a local anesthetic , i looked away when the nurse started to cut and I felt absolutely nothing :whoo:
But when she'd done, i squinted round to see the result and i almost fainted when i saw the hole in my arm. It looked as if something had just taken a bite out of it.
Luckily no cancer and my arm healed ok, but the scar is visible.

So fingers crossed i'll keep my good looks, unlike some

The toddler and I got through the summer so far without so much as a tingle.

Got burnt on the course once and vowed never again, got some Aussie sports sun cream in the bag and not had it as bad since.
