Had a letter from my course yesterday saying subs are due and due to the weather recently and amount of unplayability they have frozen the 7 day membership prices at £795 + admin fee, taking it to £810.

As well as this they are also giving us a free round pass as a thank you for renewing so we can take a friend for a free round.

What about everyone else?

£810........ I'm off for a seat in a darkened room :ooo:

I'm paying £600 at a club within Edinburgh.

Lots of deals to be had locally if I so wished.

No joining fee and have introduced Intermediate Membership, as I'm 22:

So this year:

£325 Fees (7 Day membership)
£50 Bar Fee
£18 Union

Fantastic price for me as I'll be spending every day off work up at the golf course. Go from 14 to 9 hopefully!

Pretty much 1k here once you take into consideration locker, insurance, gui membership. Great in the summer, winter time I cannot justify it. We get around 5 good months of golf and the rest is variable from good to soaking.

Me too. I pay the same as you, a small increase from last year, for a course that, with the exception of the winter just past, plays on full greens and tees all year round, which is not bad going for a parkland track.

I pay around €500 for a course that is consistently in the top 20 in Ireland and is playable all year round Brendy :p :p :p ;)

About 740 , i pay monthly which adds 6% absolutely heart breaking at the moment cos i can only play once a week due work

hopefully going to 4on 4 off shif so i can hammer it in the summer

£1,200 per annum!!! It also means I can play any other the other courses across England and Scotland.

I feel like crying now reading some of these prices!!

Our subs have not changed much this year, about £650 with £20 of that on the bar card.

That said, I have to think that some clubs may suffer as this has not been a good time to ask people to sign up again. With many clubs not having been open for a number of weeks, I suspect some (especially those who only get out once or twice a week at most) will be looking hard at the vlue of their membership. The weather means that some courses will not be in ideal shape as well making it that bit more of a hard sell.

Ours have gone up about £50 to £1535.00. I can't believe I actually pay that much to play golf, but living in Surrey there really is no choice if you want a half decent track :(
