How can you have 16 points after 6 holes (3 over gross) in todays stableford Comp and end up with 32 points in total and missing buffer?
And I had a 2 for 4 on the back 9

The only crumb of comfort is that Imurg has a slightly worse day at the office and I now only trail him by 1 in our 2015 challenge and I picked up the bulging 2's pot of £6

In my experience, very easily.

It's things like this that make golf both the most infuriating yet also the best game in the world ever.

It was a strange day.....
Not sure what planet I was in orbit around but I chopped it around the front 9 for 18 points and then played even worse until the 17th when I finished birdie, par to pick up 6 points....
CVG managed to score 38 with 3 x 4 pointers and several 3s.....should have been 40+.....
It is indeed a stupid game sometimes....

Oh so easy isn't it. My last knock was a whole 27pts stableford made up as follows: 1st-5th: 4pts; 6th-12th: 19pts: 13th-18th: 4pts

Yup it is, But and its a massive but. 300 and odd years ago some sweaty sock invented golf and he must of shot 40 plus points on stapleford for his first round. Otherwise he wouldn't go back the next day for another round if he thought he had invented a poxy game. Then he would of thought sod it and just carried on playing his pipes
