Played on sunday and noticed that every tee shot I took I snapped the tee which I've never done before. Obviously played on winter mats so not sure if this could be the answer just wondered if anyone had any answers/theories? I had a lesson last week and have changed my swing.

I struggle with distance from the tee and are struggling with the driver which I ditched after the first go at the weekend and just hit hybrids/3/4 irons.

I bought a bag of 1000 tees for less than a tenner and don't care one jot whether they break or not!

How is teeing it lower going to stop them breaking? It has never worked for me.

I've got one of those bags. Barely made a dent! Convinced they'll last the rest of my golfing life!

I'm pretty sure it'll be to do with playing off mats, i use the big white wooden tees
and they only break when playing off mats or if the ground is hard/frozen.

tis the swing
i go thro phases of breaking tees, hammering them into the ground or having them pop up and land next to me

stupid game

No more nails works a treat for repairing broken tees

If you're really bothered then try this. When you plant your tee give it a wiggle about to loosen the soil around the peg. It'll stop them snapping.

I don't really mind. I keep some of the broken ones for par 3s and for when I'm using less than driver.

its not the snapping of the tee that bothers me, at all, just wondered if it is my positioning or something or just simply the mats.

Maybe it's a combination of mats and not using your driver. Hitting down more with an iron or a hybrid may snap more tees.

I'm a little disappointed if I don't snap a tee. I feel like I've given it my all if I crush a tiny piece of wood !!!:fore:
