Sky Replacement

In the last 3 years I too got bored of Sky and I tried BT and Virgin.

I'm now back with Sky. Nothing else even comes close.

I did the same. Best bit was that as an ex-Virgin customer I got silly discounts!

If anyone is with Virgin or BT, call up Sky and tell them you want to switch. My Virgin bill was £101 - I pay £41 now with Sky for their small TV package with sport, unlimited broadband and line rental. Absolute steal.

Get all my boxsets and films from Exodus on Kodi.

TalkTalk Plus TV is fantastic. Can bolt on whatever packages you want whenever you want and it's cheap. I've had a fantastic service from TalkTalk.

The cost of sky is ridiculous, my bill before any discount will be going up to £124 per month from July. My package is movies and sport, also have broadband and sky unlimited talk.
Has anyone gone down the route of leaving Sky and getting an android box. If so what box did you get, where did you get it from, is it easy to set up /instal and maintain. Is the box reliable, quick to locate channels and good picture quality.
Any other info relevant
Thanks

Ring up or go online and cancel and then negotiate a minimum of 50% discount on monthly payments. Search for thread on here that explains it all.

Basically I went from £77 to about £40 a month, plus £50 credit on the account, plus a month free, plus a second sky box free (recordable) installed free with multi room . Plus I only have a contract on the multi room which incidentally is half price at £6 a month. I could walk away tomorrow if I wanted but I don't now.

Customer is king.

I am a Virgin customer, but like some others here, slightly disgruntled even though I don't pay for Sky Sports. Have had Sky isn the past but just wondered how all the Sky advocates on here that are football fans cope.......don't you also need BT Sport now (which I do have "FOC" via Virgin) for the European games.....like the belter last night at Anfield!!

Have had to get BT Sports as well

UEFA it appears aren't best pleased and regret the deal with BT due to the big drop in viewing figures - for the viewing public it was prob one deal too many and another subscription too many

Funny enough I had sky at my old house and the prices seemed to increase almost monthly. Moved into a new build and didn't really want a dish on it and we were set up for Virgin so went with that. Broadband much quicker and happy to get BT sports etc in the package. All good but now like sky the cost seems to be rising regularly so not sure whether to stick with or now see what deal I can get with sky

Homer, seriously - if you are on a rolling contract then twist. I genuinely pay 40% of what I paid at Virgin for the exact same package. Virgin asked what Sky had quoted and the women on the other end of the phone just sighed and said they wouldnt go anywhere near it. Tell Sky you are a Virgin customer.

Cancel, that's what I done. My virgin bill went from £79 to £109 after my current deal ran out. Phoned up and cancelled and they said the best they could do was £89, I went thru with the cancellation. They then phoned me back and said they could match my old tarrif of £79, I still proceeded to cancel as I had a pretty decent deal lined up with sky, they then phoned back and offered me the same package as I was already on but with faster Internet for £63. So I get all channels minus the movies as we have amazon prime, and 150mbs fibre Internet for £63
