Scottish Fitba'

StJ win lifts them off the bottom for 1st time this season courtesy of a cracking goal and a new manager who knows how to get a defense organised - allowing our decent midfielders scope to produce to their ability - something they haven’t been able to do so far this season. 👍

3-3 against Norway is good enough…though a Norway without there best two players. Scotland weakness down left side of defence, especially, exploited…though neither Robertson nor Tierney playing and either would mitigate that.

Onwards and Upwards to Germany and Beyond.

It was an entertaining match.

That Jacob Brown upfront was awful though, it looked like he'd never seen a football before.

Putting him in front of Shanklin seemed very strange, Brown has not scored a goal this year.
Perhaps Stevie just wanted to see what a bad a Premier League striker looks like. ;)
Though as McGinn said afterwards…it was a bit weird playing a non-friendly that didn’t actually matter that much.

Plus Clarke saying he needs to address whatever wasn’t quite right in the teams mental approach to the game - first half especially. Maybe he sensed some complacency, or that the team was getting a bit above itself…knowing if that sort of mindset arises it would most definitely lead to a hard and painful fall. So good to hear McGinn be open about Scotland being a fair bit off Pot 1 standard - even though it is something the team is striving for.

StJ allocation of 650 sold out for Tynie this weekend for the match against the Jambos, and hoping for a further allocation. It’s amazing / awful what a little bit of hope can do for a support convinced that relegation was a near certainty not a month ago 😇😇🙄👍

That would have been more impressive if you hadn't mentioned the actual figure :D

That is about 20% of their normal home crowd so very impressive.
Mind you most will be going to watch the glorious Hearts players. ;) o_O

Despite 10 minutes extra time and 2 penalties for Celtic, a great draw today for Motherwell. 😉
Both pens were absolute stonewallers, and there were 2 lengthy stoppages for head injuries (the first one was 6 minutes). The time wasting by the Motherwell keeper was outrageous.

But Celtic were poor and didn't deserve to win. We are in danger of an actual title race. Big game at Pittodrie this afternoon.

Watched highlights this morning. Both penalty decisions were correct.
Celtic had so many chances.

Big game for Rangers today. No doubt Aberdeen will find some form.

Loving Kris Boyd’s thinking on Aberdeen being more up for Rangers games than they are when playing Celtic.
Having watched the Celtic game and this one, so far, he is right on evidence. My mate, a staunch Rangers supporter, came up with a cracker... "well, it's the ties Barry Robson has with Celtic obviously, not wanting them to lose the league to Rangers..." As far as tinfoil hats go, that's up there... I mean lets ignore Robson started as a Rangers youth.

Aberdeen, had they played like this, would not have shipped 6 sloppy goals like they did last time out.

Commentators raving about “end to end stuff” that's more akin to punt and run, constant niggly foul pub football. Another 5 minutes of this and I'm away out to the workshop to sharpen chisels, that's probably more technically exciting :ROFLMAO:
