A burger $33 in OZ dollars, you can buy a steak at a pub here with drinks, a bottle of water for $6.50 are you kidding ?
a beer $13 think I will wait till after the event.

It was a complete rip off in Paris in 2018, sure it was €18 for fish and chips.

The vendors probably have to pay an exorbitant fee to be there, so have to charge loads to break even/make a profit.

Exactly. Not blaming the vendors at these events who have to make money. That does not take away from the fact that the Ryder Cup is just a massive cash cow that gets milked for every drop.

Sadly it is often the way with big sporting events, the fans make it what it is, the authorities price gouge the fans, the fans cannot afford to go, it becomes a corporate event where people are there to be seen not to enjoy the event, something else becomes more popular, the corporates stop going, the fans will not pay the price and so it fades until it is eventually re-invented.
