Rory walks off the course

Its ok to get a better deal, it´s not ok to make such a big deal over your knee, I mean this should take place with much care
is was n1 23yo and all this bad deals with oakley did not let him go, everybody knew what was going on, the comments
over money/equipment changes, he was stuck in the middle...what a manager well done!

Eh whit?

Surprised me that he walked off the course , something I think he will regret,it's one of the few things we have in common with the pro's the knowledge that you are playing that bad you might feel like walking off,but something I would never do.

It's very bad form, but I think he could be cut some slack, just a young lad that's not playing well and under a lot of pressure in golfing terms. He seems to me a nice lad and I'm sure he will be back contending shortly.

Sometimes this happens in football, great players playing great with in a good team, the manager waves some cash, the
the performance drops...sometimes money is great but not everything.

Dunno whit yor preblwem is, o titally agrod

We got a complete walloper here!

I like what Rors has done, shows he has balls and doesn't want to play like thecraw. Yes he'll be fined but who cares, its only a drop in the ocean for the wee man. I find it amusing. Been there done it, never regretted it.

To be honest who cares, it doesn't matter if he 's playing Nike , Titliest or Donnay he's a spoilt wee boy who when no playing well spits his dummy out, he did it 2010 when the Open was at St Andrews a bit windy and he didn't want to be there.

and again at Royal St George's in 2011 when he stated that he wasn't prepared to change his game for the sake of one tournament per year

Hmm, I'm not sure, whilst I hear what you say, hasn't he got a responsibility to his young followers who will then think its OK to do the same, at any level?

I don't think it puts out the right signals personally.

really poor thing to do. people pay good money to see rory play. really dissapointed in him. he could have at least finished the round.

Have to have a bit of sympathy for the lads at GM. Just winding down on a Friday afternoon, easing into a relaxing weekend when the biggest golf story of the year so far happens.

There are no winners in this one. Rory looks like a petulant kid and, irrespective of reason, there are going to be members of the club buying public who look at this (and it will be all over the papers tomorrow) and blame it on the new kit. I would have more respect if he had stuck to his guns and said his head was not in it and taken any punishment rather than make an excuse to stay within the PGA rules. Bet his tooth would have been bearable if he was 5 under par and in contention.

The only people who may gain from this are Titleist who can quietly say that he did not have these problems with their clubs and take some free publicity.

This is going to be really bad for the lad, not a great way to act but we will find out a lot more later. If he has dumped his ball in the water and stormed off like a tit then he deserves all the negativity he is getting but if he has let the officials know of his intentions then oh well... I fear it may be the first of the two though!!!

Imagine if Tiger did this ha ha I dread to think

Have you been to the pub with 'Fish' ? :)

Thing is now is Rory going to get the 'Guilt by Association' with Tiger being his BFF.

All the tiger haters could well jump on him too.

And as for the equipment is to blame I don't see how, the greatest player of all time seems to do ok with it and the likes of Schwartzel and the the other guys who switched this season seem ok.

Walking off is one thing but clearly it wasnt down to wisdom teeth. Blaming that is just pathetic! You reckon he walks off if hes 7 under after 8? GTF.

Two Nike golfers

1. Chuffs up his knee early in the final day of a major, hobbles around and wins it!

2. Has a sore tooth and runs off home

...the only thing these two have in common is Nike and that they've both been number 1

there is nothing wrong with his tooth he was eating a sandwich on the same hole 2 mins earlier

he is just a spoilt brat who has spat his dummy because things arnt going his way

disgraceful behavior and rather than a fine he should now be banned from golf for rest of the month might teach him some manners and how to act when your the world number 1, altho how much longer he holds on to that title remains to be seen

To be honest the whole Rory Roadshow is becoming a tad tedious
Im of the opinion the poor fella is being very badly advised, and these same guys are making a loada CASH off the New Golden Boy

His games gone
His Heads gone

Im NOT his biggest fan, but do hope it comes back, sooner, rather than later

But today is an utter disgrace IMO
