Rory walks off the course

I didnt see it as a tantrum, he didnt storm off really, he did shake the hand of everyone involved and wandered off the course, he actually looked reasonably relaxed in my opinion.

So were blaming the clubs again for his poor form and tantrum induced walking off the course. Good one!

Or perhaps the über talented multi millionaire brat should spend more time on the range and put his swing and head in the right place!

His clubs aren't inferior for purpose it's the way he's swinging them.

Brat??!!

What substantiates your assertion that he is a Brat, the same way that despite not knowing you personally he may think you are a knob?

Of course he will no doubt,as you may be,be wrong.....possibly.

He can think I'm a knob if he likes doesn't bother me.

But my reasoning for calling him a brat is from on the 3 occaisions I've seen him play live he threw temper tantrums during poor play, smashing his clubs in to face of bunkers, hammering them into the ground on fairways, on one occasion launched one up a fairway after blocking a shot.

Further add In the same infractions that have all been seen live on sky sports in other tour events and some even as recent as on hole 11 (his 2nd) last night and the way he walked off yesterday. Those are my reasons I don't care how much your playing for those behaviours aren't acceptable at any level of golf and age is irrelevant he's been pro for near on 6 years.

So based on that I'd call him and anyone that does it a brat!

For me its got nothing to do with tooth ache or Nike clubs, there's a woman at the bottom of all this, or should I say, there maybe now no longer a woman at the bottom of all this.

Women, the source of all that is evil

Funnily enough I muted this to the pro at the weekend and wondered if Rory and his tennis playing girlfriend are either no more or having problems. Sad if its true and every one has personal issues from time to time but most don't have to deal with it in the full glow of microscopic media attention. I hope the statement he put out today will end the speculation (fat chance) and it isn't a smoke screen for other events going on. I just hope he can get back to his best in time for Augusta

woziroy no more then? been off the net most of last couple of days and trying to catch up now!

Interesting comments from Rory about not having the ability to "grind it out" like Tiger, saying he "needs a bit more of that".

Really not something you can teach yourself IMO. Always been of the opinion that Rory has as much talent as anyone who has ever played the game, but was lacking a bit in the guts/application department. Think what happened last week is evidence of that.

Looks like a bit more...

I love Rory and what he is doing for the sport, so I hope people will give him some breathing space. All this will be forgotten when he gets his next Major....

hmmmm so the wisdom tooth IS a problem but he's not going to do anything about it till June!!!

most of us who have had toothache know you cannot focus on anything with that pain, wonder how it will affect his Masters and US Open bids

I've had 2 wisdom teeth removed and can honestly say it is not nice. However it did not stop me going to work at the time for months while I was waiting for the operation. He could quite easily have finished off his round no problem so the excuse was a load of rubbish as far as i'm concerned. With all his money he could go private and have them removed tomorrow if he wanted the recovery period is only around a week or so. I have had the pleasure!!!!!! of meeting Rory on more than 1 occasion and can say he is not the nicest chap you could ever wish to meet very un fan friendly and has a real chip on his shoulder and is a right nasty tempered little sod, his attitude at Wentworth last year stunk so if he is like this all the time I am not surprised people are leaving his ranks they can only take so much.
