Region3 cleans up again shocker.....

Region3 (or Garythepickpocket) came to visit today. He crashed our normal Friday game and really showed us the way round. Against all the rules of visiting a club he Eagled 2 holes and had at least 1 birdie in a round of 72 (+2). Honestly it was a joy to watch, some superb golf.
Thanks for coming down Gary - a good time was had. CVG was very steady, Fragger was Fragger and me...well

Last night I posted a thread asking why people gave up golf. Well I nearly had my answer on the 7th tee having blobbed 4 of the 1st 6 and single point scored on the other 2. I just couldn't hit a shot to save my life. i haven't played that badly in years, if ever.
From the 7th hole onwards I was 2 over par gross..... and completely baffled as to what happened on the first 6.

Anyway, having a return match at Gary's next week - maybe I can do what he did today.
Just remember the golden rule - never play Gary for money!

played with Gary at Beau and he hit some lovely approaches & is sneaky long taking the longest drive prize, so no surprises as from this seasons posts he has improved even more

he eagled two of our Par 5's getting a 3 for 5 points as he got a shot on the 13th SI 8

I also managed to birdie our par 5 3rd for 4 points,

Thanks again to Ian, Phil and Colin for their company today. The golf was good in places but the company and banter was first class all the way round

I think today was the golfing gods giving me something back after scoring 18pts on Tuesday at Belton Woods.
I've had 1 eagle in the two and a half years I've been back playing then I go and have 2 today! Crazy.

I'd just like to add that no money was played for.


Sadly CVG & Fragger can't make the return so there's 2 spaces free for next Thursday if anyone wants to take part in the rematch?
