Crows are very clever if you didn’t know.Just looked out of the kitchen window to see a crow finishing off plucking what, I guess, it thought was a mouse/rat/small bird when it was a piece of padding, a bit like the inside of a cushion or pillow...
Anyway, he saw me and took off .having the back garden looking like a snow storm has just hit us.......
Let's hope the wind blows it all away...
4/5 mins maximum of your time - quicker than going to the shop. Let the bread machine do the work.No time for that I’m afraid.
Sounds good.4/5 mins maximum of your time - quicker than going to the shop. Let the bread machine do the work.![]()
Currently I have the Morphy Richards machine. Good results but feel that our previous Panasonic one was a tad better - although more expensive. It will take a while to get the mix of ingredients exactly right for you but well worth it in the end. Quality flour is king. PM me if you want further info.Sounds good.![]()
Funny looking back at this post from the end of 2024. That car park is now £10.60, meaning I've been driving out of my way to a different station where it's £5.25.Unless it's a mistake in the app, my station car park where I park 3 times a week has put the price up from £5.50 to £8 a day! What a ridiculous increase. Looks like I'll have to start going to a different station.![]()

I think those prices look about average compared to what I normally see.Funny looking back at this post from the end of 2024. That car park is now £10.60, meaning I've been driving out of my way to a different station where it's £5.25.
Someone online told me of a different car park near the original nearest station that is cheaper with a 'Hillingdon First' card (which I've borrowed off the father-in-law). Had a look this morning and it must have been a while since they visited.

I've winged it with the 9 hour charge but technically that isn't enough and I'm taking a small risk.
Imagine not having the HF card and wanting to park there for the day - £17.50 thanks very much.![]()
I would probably be moaning more about the price of rail travel than the parking.I think those prices look about average compared to what I normally see.
If you parked for 12 hours it’s about £1.50 an hour.
That’s not bad value in my opinion.
This does seem expensive for a rail car park when you are also buying a rail ticket.Funny looking back at this post from the end of 2024. That car park is now £10.60, meaning I've been driving out of my way to a different station where it's £5.25.

At a tenner a day, I go in three times a week so that could easily be £120 a month just on parking. I can claim my tube travel back from my work but it doesn't include parking. Just glad I'm not going in every day, I'd be looking at £200.I think those prices look about average compared to what I normally see.

Surely the irritation should be cars that are now too big for the ramps (and car parks, garages, roads, etc)Tyre fitting centres that have ramps that can't get your car on! What a daft design. I blame the rise of the SUV
I think there might be crossed wires - my car is too low for the new rampsSurely the irritation should be cars that are now too big for the ramps (and car parks, garages, roads, etc)
Yeah but that’s why you get paid the big bucks to work in town.At a tenner a day, I go in three times a week so that could easily be £120 a month just on parking.
