Random Irritations

People that wear odd shoes should not be allowed to breed!
I once accidentally did this going to work - had two different colours of the same style of shoe and they got mixed up; didn’t see as it was early and I was trying to be nice and get ready in the dark so (the then future) Mrs S could have a lie-in. Then didn’t notice as it got light (nobody looks at their feet when they’re driving). Yes I looked a tit.

Obviously it was the day of the staff meeting so every single person who worked there was there to see it. 🫣😆

And, of course, you mentioned you had an identical pair at home?

First things first...I appreciate that we have no devine right to park outside our house...
There is a space outside ours and a space outside next door too...ample room for 2 SUV size cars....
And, yet, there is a car parked slap bang in the middle of the spaces, barely enough room for a SmartCar either end...
Why? What's wrong with parking so you leave enough room for someone else?
Because they're thick and so wrapped up in their own little world that they haven't got a clue as to what's going on around them.
So now when people start getting home from work there will be 2 cars looking for somewhere to park instead of one....
Jeez I hate people sometimes......
I've posted about this before as the same happens outside ours, I've started putting notes under the windscreen.

(I've come to terms with the fact I've turned into my Dad).

Several hours away from the forum only to discover on my return that I now need to consider trying out a type of footwear that I'd always considered utterly naff.

So Ave been into town and bumped into a few Arsenal and Stags fans and all seems well.

Anyway the reason for the trip into Town. Am clearing the lads ex bedroom out of all of his junk and going to his in half an hour to watch the footie and leave his junk with him, And I came across a chunky Silver 925 chain. 90 grams. My lad said sell it for me. So I popped into four shops. 2 offered £90, one offered £118 and the last one £135. Now that is 50% more than the lower price 😳 seriously. Now I had checked the price of silver per gram £2.03 before I went out. But are some of these places just con artists or what.
Pays to do your homework and if you have any vulnerable people that are getting rid of stuff, go with them.

The amazingly rapid increase in petrol and diesel prices at the pump.
Yes, I know that crude oil has increased dramatically, but surely there's no way that the new expensive oil has made its way to the refineries, been turned into petrol, and delivered to forecourts that quickly.
Can anyone with inside knowledge of the industry shed some light on it?
