Unfortunately as much as I agree, my post is aimed at a bloke in the Pro Shop today trying teach our Pro how to hit a Driver.

Perhaps not as irritating as the orange one on a global scale but those sorts of idiots in golf shops really do get up your nose!

I think they’re hilarious. I remember being stood waiting on the 17th tee at M’bro Muni, a par 3 140yds. The guy in the group in front of us said it’s pretty windy up there, it’s a 5 iron. As he walked back to the 18th tee, next to the 17th tee, I hit an 8 iron to 4”. He asked if I’d murdered a 6 iron to hit it that high. I kept a straight face but the other 3 in the group weren’t gentle…

IKEA flat packed furniture. Mrs M decided this morning that my girls need a more grown up bedroom and that’s we had to go to IKEA! Some how I’ve spent a fortune, wasted the entire afternoon trying to see the tiniest images in the instructions and deciphering Swedish as there were no English ones enclosed. After all my sweat, swearing and spending, guess who the girls thank for their new room! Mrs M that’s who

IKEA flat packed furniture. Mrs M decided this morning that my girls need a more grown up bedroom and that’s we had to go to IKEA! Some how I’ve spent a fortune, wasted the entire afternoon trying to see the tiniest images in the instructions and deciphering Swedish as there were no English ones enclosed. After all my sweat, swearing and spending, guess who the girls thank for their new room! Mrs M that’s who

Guess what I’m up to this weekend? Just off to pick up a set of drawers and an electric sit/stand desk. Looked at the instructions online and the desk could be a bit tricky

My thoughts are with you! The instructions they print are so ridiculously small I had to use my phone camera as a magnifying glass to decipher the exact spot pins and screws went in and I’ve got good eyesight

Funny you should say that she’s currently in the nail shop in Basingstoke having herself a new set of nails that are “cute for spring”. Guess who is paying for that

Whilst waiting for her, I’m sat in Caffè Nero demolishing a pair of raspberry croissants and a flat white contemplating which driver I’m going to get fitted for but haven’t told her about yet

The IKEA experience is radically different depending on which branch you're in.
Brent Cross is hell on earth at any time, I refused to go anywhere near it.

Last time I went to an IKEA I swore I would never go to one again.

Up early and first in the queue to get in. It was an escalator to get in - got to the top and realised my reading glasses were not in my pocket, the only way out was to go through the entire store. By the time I had picked up my glasses and got back in again there was about 20 people waiting to talk to the sales rep I needed.

So annoyed I walked out without picking up the parts I wanted. Bloody ridiculous one way system.

Just saw a clip of the orange one making his speech about tariffs yesterday, he was flanked by Luttnick the business secretary who was exposed in the latest tranche of Epstein files as having visited the island, with his family, years after he said he had cut all ties. There are other rumours re Luttnick’s Nanny and Epstein where a key name has been redacted but it wasn’t that of the victim.
The US is not exactly showing itself as a moral crusader at the moment.

Click and collect is the way forward. Ordered what we wanted last night then took 5 minutes to park, lift up one floor, collected our order and back out again. No walking through the store and getting held up by loitering people who don’t know what they want.

I am going back to about 15 years ago. Long before click and collect existed. I also needed to check and measure the item. It was just the feet that go under the cabinets and at the time I would have thought it was an 'of the shelf item' but no.

Built the drawers, small office set with 5 drawers. Took 45 minutes, with a bit of ‘help’ from the Mrs. No problem with the instructions, all pictures no words. Nice sturdy set. Will do the desk tomorrow as now watching the rugby

Yeah they’ve definitely hiked their prices from what they used to be.
