Random Irritations

I’m looking forward to reading about how many times she rolls out of bed now😂. Sophia fell out loads of times when we did hers
We bought some bed bumpers that go under the bed sheet for our grand daughters bed at ours for when she stays over.
TBH, it didn't take long for them to become redundant, but they didnt cost a lot anyway :)

Yeah can’t remember what we used, but put something down to break the fall. Had a stair gate on her door for a while, but she just climbed over it. She was a proper little climber, had to take the side off her cot early as she would just climb out and fall and land on her head.

These acted as a wedge to stop her rolling out.
Seeing as she could reach the floor at the end of the bed her climbing in or out the bed wasn't a worry, just rolling out in her sleep.:)

As it's my daughter's 3rd birthday, we decided to take the wall off of her cot bed, converting it into more of a normal toddler bed. Can I find the other nuts and bolts required that we stashed away somewhere when we got it?? I'll give you two guesses.
Took ours off after wondering how he was out of the cot attacking the door every night. Then, late one night, I left his door slightly open with the hall light on and watched through the gap on the hinge side.
Bugger me, I was astonished by his determination.
Stage 1: Arms and legs stretched to the absolute max, red in the face as, after several attempts, he finally hurled himself over the top thudding on the carpet.
I quitely closed the door.
Stage2: Batter the door down.
Our solution, which took 2 nights, passed onto us by other experienced parents, would today be frowned on by the "woke".

She has never once climbed out of the cot, or even made a serious attempt to.

She just fell out of bed about ten minutes ago. We put an old mattress from her old travel cot down on the floor next to her bed so she's landed on that and fell back asleep. 😂

Can we please stop posting about matters in the US that are clearly political. They may annoy and frustrate but this forum is not the place to discuss them. Everyone is well aware of this, or should be, by now.

Wife sending me two minute long voicenotes while I'm in the office. Hope it's not important since I won't be listening to it until lunchtime.

Why are there two threads that are about nothing other than USA current affairs?
There is one about the World Cup, a sporting event across 3 countries. You could loosely link that to current affairs, although it does not cross the line imo.

What is the other one? If you see it as political, report it, let the mods make a decision.

Equally, accept you were pushing it, you were aware you were pushing it, and move on.

Another sporting irritation, Djokovic has benefitted from injury withdrawals two rounds in a row now, keeping him fresh for the latter rounds. 😠

Our eldest was climbing out of her cot well before she was 1. Pretty much as soon as she could pull herself upright. Was also walking by her first birthday.
We had to remove the stair get at the top of the stairs as she would just climb over it. She was an absolute menace.

Don't want everyone in my office to hear it as well. And it's a matter of principle, I've told her countless times I don't like voicenotes because all she does is waffle some stream of consciousness for several minutes when it could have been a one sentence text.

Are you married to my wife? :D Whenever she tells a story or imparts information there is generally a stream of irrelevant and confusing preamble lasting at least a minute until you get to the actual point or relevant part.

Just delete it, and message her asking what it was she wanted :)
