That was honestly not meant to be addressed to you or anyone in particular, please do not think it was in any way aimed at you - I too would be offended if anyone took any of my remarks as any sort of endorsement of policies being enforced on the other side of the pond.

My view, which I suspect is shared by the other mods, is that calling this buffoon out for his crass, ignorant and offensive comments is in no way political, just because he happens to be a politician.

This goes way beyond politics.

I'd echo the point made above by @Billysboots . To answer your second sentence, as always, we don't live on here, we don't check every thread, every post. Sometimes we are looking at a thread as something questionable is posted so we can act straight away. Other times, posts can sit there. It's one of the reasons the report function exists. If you see something that you believe is against the rules, report it. If you don't it may well explain why it's still there.

If you see something that you believe is against the rules, report it. If you don't it may well explain why it's still there.

I’ve monitored the comments all afternoon (still got the lurgy) and although a couple of comments got close to commenting on policies, Forumites have been careful.

As an aside, I’ve watched quite a bit of news from the US in recent weeks, along with a couple of Congressional hearings. Trump is getting battered in the US. A formal vote in Congress on impeachment passed as 17 Reps crossed the floor. Unfortunately, it needs both Congress & the Senate to agree. And a formal call to invoke the 25th Amendment, removal of the President on medical/incapacity, was made last night but that needs the cabinet & VP onboard.

Special Prosecutor, Jack Smith’s testimony was especially damning last night. Hard evidence of two indictments about the Jan 6th riots that Trump got buried are surfacing.

All 9 Supreme Court justices voted 9-0 against, virtually unheard of, ….oops, nearly….

And there’s an impeachment debate currently, including impeaching the head of homeland security(ICE agents).
