I bet you got the best behaved kids in the countryYeah I get it, unfortunately mine will be coming with me to Molineux when they start misbehaving.
Being “spoiled rotten” does not define a good childhood. Spending quality time with your kids does. I treasure the memories of my Dad taking me to Ibrox, Hampden, museums, the shows, the pantomime, the tattoo etc. much more than any present.
BTW, I’m not criticising you or anyone else on here.![]()
We don’t have wheely bins for gen rubbish or recycling, just bags so I’ve just stuffed everything into the Green bin. That’ll do till next year.
(3 week collections is unacceptable btw.)
Coldest day of the year so far. Woke up, no heating. Thankfully, I just needed to add more water into the system but what a day to choose. (Hopefully that's all that is required
)
Could also be the expansion tank.If that is a pressurised system sounds like you need to find where the leak is. I once had one that took me 6 months to find, going down the back of the rad pipe and in to the carpet which was so warm it just evaporated.
Ah…Twixmas…well call it what you want of you will…but it isn’t ’The 12 Days of Christmas’ for no reason
Still waiting for the Three Kings/Wise Men/Magi to turn up makes my nativity scene with them present a bit presumptuous.![]()
(Btw…not really very irritating at all…)
Still can’t get my lad to come to Reading games![]()
Social services or Childline?He's got Social Services on speed dial just in case!![]()
Interesting…of course the night of 5th/6th January is 12th Night…and the 6th is the Feast of the Epiphany…which I assume is what is celebrated in Spain on the 6th.The 3 Kings is THE Christmas Day here in Spain. Traditional Spanish Christmas sees the family get together on Christmas Eve evening for an extended family meal + one present for the kids.
The 3 Kings arrive back from Bethlehem on the evening of the 5th, and tour the town giving out sweets. The old tradition on the evening of the 5th is the kids leave a pair of shoes outside the front door, and they’ll be full of sweets the following morning. Nowadays, the morning of the 6th is very much the time for swapping presents & then a big meal.
This year the 5th will be something different from when we lived in land. The 3 Kings arrive on a fishing boat into Garrucha harbour, surrounded by the rest of the fleet.
It depends if it repeats itself. First time it's happened so it might not be sinister. If it does it again then I'll get the plumber who installed it back in.If that is a pressurised system sounds like you need to find where the leak is. The heating system at Dad's house is sealed and heated by a combi boiler. I have to open the taps to add a few seconds worth of water a couple of times a year to get the pressure firmly into the normal range. The system has been checked and serviced - no issues, no leaks.It depends if it repeats itself. First time it's happened so it might not be sinister. Could the drop in temps have caused it? First time for this boiler to have experienced a drop like that, it was installed around September time.
That's my thinking with this. It's just that it happened on a really cold day so it stood out.The heating system at Dad's house is sealed and heated by a combi boiler.
