Random Irritations

If they have already been out, do they come out again to the same fault.
Yeah they have some stupid rules like this. The garage even advised us to take out new cover with Green Flag and then run the car for a bit on Monday and pretend we'd just broken down! Feels a bit daft though doing all that. We weren't really comfortable with it.

Try the RAC first, see what charge there is for collecting and returning. If it's scary, Google car recovery or equivalent. You really need to get it back to your address, unless you intend to scrap it immediately at which point you get the scrap recovery in straight away.

Rotten time for it to happen.

Tesco. rampant profiteering.

was the other side of town on Friday so decided to just pop into Asda and get a couple of things.

San Pellegrino small 500ML was a full £1.55 cheaper
the large bottles, almost £2 cheaper
Sugarly sweetener. Asda price £2.85, Tesco £4.50
Radox mens 750ml seafoam Asda £1.65. Tesco £2.
Nutella Ice cream Asda £4.50 Tesco £5.50.

i strongly doubt Asda gets things cheaper than tesco.

It's a sneaky way to get you signed up for the club card. Prices are very similar if you have a club card

Supermarkets are no different to any business. Making a profit that can satisfy their shareholders is all that matters.
There will be some items that are cheaper there, but they all operate the same with loss leaders.
Its down to whether you can be bothered visiting more than one to get the cheapest expense overall.

An irritation that turned very quickly into a sadness…one especially troubling at this time of year and in the week of Advent in which ‘love’ is the focus for many who care.

Passing through our north Derbyshire town to be faced in its centre with a giant five stories high Union flag covering the whole facade of a vacant office block. Not so long ago I would have been ambivalent to the sight…perhaps at times even proud. But sadly not today. I am sure that many in the town will feel similar…but they don’t matter do they…their view is not important…so sad that this is where we have found ourselves.

And don’t bother asking why; we know why; and those who may rile against my irritation and sadness…well so be it 😔

My view of adverts is that ,on the whole, they're not worth the money spent on the electricity used to make them and I try my hardest to avoid them

Christmas adverts are infinitely worse and I try even harder to miss them.
Sometimes it's impossible.....and the words "kill me now" echo around...
If I never see or hear another Christmas advert it will be too soon.......

My thoughts as well. Half the time you can't even tell what they are meant to be advertising.

But surely you must find the perfume adverts really useful? Especially if you need to learn about the fragrance itself and how it would suit different people.

id expect some small difference, but £2 on a bottle of water, is daylight robbery
