Random Irritations

Drivers who have absolutely no idea how long or short their vehicle is....
In the supermarket car park today there was a Toyota Aygo - possibly one of the smallest cars - with it's back wheels outside the end of the space....
And a bloody great Mercedes exactly the same..
Both had, at least, a metre and change worth of space available..
Peasants

I have recently purchased new car and just getting used to it, when parking, the sensors go off and I think that looks ok, get out and have a look and there is a 3ft gap, mine is neither a Merc or an Aygo.

Too late. Manchester has this in place already, as does Liverpool.
I think tyou are referring to local city taxes, these exist all over the US as they do in many European cities. Resort fees are imposed by the hotel on top of the price of the room and state and city taxes. They are not just a few bucks or % either. We paid $59 per night and $45 per night on our last two hotels.

UPS and the house round the corner.. A delivery of wine from Spain due this week. wife text to say its been delivered, but then realised the picture was not of our house, but one of the disabled cottages around the corner. went round to collect they denied getting it. despite the picture clearly being their front door. its not the first time they have had stuff. they obviously dont check the address labels. last year the had a pair of mountain bike shoes, opened the box and unwrapped them.shes in a wheelchair and he uses two sticks, what the hell were they going to do with cycling shoes???

Sell them at a small profit.

My FiL has moved house today. He's 88, we have done most of the organising. We booked Sky Home Move for his broadband, the TV can't move until he was actually in.

The broadband was showing as active yesterday, great. He moved in, plugged in the router, not connected. Tried a few options, nothing.

I rang sky, was cut off twice after going through the checks. Eventually got through and wasn't cut off. They had arranged his move..........to the house he's just moved from 🤬🤦. I mean.......🤬🤬. The process has been purgatory. We need to ring again tomorrow and start again. Dreadful.

It really shouldn’t be that hard 🤯
be grateful you’re not dealing with Virgin.

ITV Weather forecasters just used the word "lively" four times in a minute or two to describe incoming rain and even included "lumpy" along with it once.
Are they not allowed to say "I tell you what, it's gonna bluddy p***s down!!"

People at the departure gate in airports

Yep. They start queuing as soon as they get to the gate, ignoring not only the fact that everyone has a seat, but also the huge aircraft sized empty space on the tarmac, which should act as a pretty big clue that the plane they are due to get on is actually still in the air.

And the same people then leap to their feet when they arrive at their destination, the moment the fasten seatbelt signs are switched off, long before the doors are even open.

Hate flying. And these imbeciles just make the whole experience worse.

Little mercies 😄

Why do these companies get it so badly wrong? Cost cutting, cheap labour, poorly trained, poor systems. All avoidable. Infuriating.
I think you answered your own question fairly well.
Do things as cheaply as possible and make as much profit as possible. Successful business.
Customers aren't customers anymore, they are an exploitable cash resource.

Just had dinner in front of TV.
(Watching a very good Welsh politics programme, ackshewally").
As it finished I picked up the plates etc. to be instructed by the wife, "Right, just put them in the sink in hot water. They can go in the dishwasher later".
I say, "Sorry love, say that again".
She does.
I say "So, just to clear, don't put them in the loft in a bowl of cold water?"
I know!
But it's irritating. 😕
