Random Irritations

I defrosted the freezer yesterday.

I went in to town to restock only to find that virtually everything I wanted to buy is not in stock due the space having been given over to Christmas stuff.

Now going to have a half full freezer until sometime in January by which time it will probably need to be defrosted again because of all the empty space in it.

Vincent Chan.

I don't want him dead, just hurting.
Take a hammer to every finger, thumb and toe. Then take the same hammer and using a blunt builders chisel cut every finger, thumb and toe off. Cover each wound with salt.
Using mole grips, crush each testicle.
Tie him down now, and put an open bottomed rat cage on his privates and let them eat for 2 days.
Then put him back into general population for the next 30 years.

Anyone who sexually abuses kids between 2 and 4 is a waste of oxygen, but killing them is too good and quick.
And yes, I have a grand-daughter who is almost 4.
There can be no forgiveness for anyone that sick.

Oh don’t get me started…

Our friend’s g’daughter, 13 years old, was raped recently. Groomed via the internet, and enticed to go somewhere she shouldn’t. The guy was out on licence for the same thing, and is now back inside.

The Police have advised the family to move house, preferably to another town, and change their name as the guy has friends…

This may sound stupid, it certainly does in my head, but could filling it with, say, cardboard boxes possibly work?

That's why he should be exterminated as soon as possible, I'd happily do it.
No chance of re-offending after execution!

Sorry, but thats wrong. A freezer only creates ice/frost from opening the door and allowing atmosphere in, unless you have a problem with the sealing or door closing :)

My interpretation - Some of that ice will form on the food that is in there which can be shaken off when the food comes out and not the freezer itself. (My freezer gets opened regularly as I use it a lot).

No doubt it does :)
Am example I often use...
If you buy 2 new freezers, and plug them both in at the same time. 1 you dont touch at all and leave it running alone, and the other you open the door daily for 5 seconds once a day. After a year, the one that had the door opened daily will be full of ice /frost, but the other one will have just a thin skin of frost of the cold pipework (evaporater).
Thats how I explain it to customers who say their freezer is icing up.

Google maps navigation in Apple Car Play. The latest update has ballsed it right up. I can't zoom out how I like it to get an overview of the next 50+ miles of my route. It just keeps reverting to the view that only shows about the next mile.

I cannot use it and find it an over complicated shower of rammel. I cannot think of a more complex way of keeping your eyes off the road.

You mean it unilaterally performs a re-center?
Crikey, I hope it doesn't start doing that on Android Auto as well.

Why do so many applications and devices do "helpful" stuff (that isn't) without being asked?
It's as if we have a new generation of designers who think "I'd like it to be this way, so everyone else must as well".

Techies being let loose without supervision. Desperately annoying but very lucrative for those who clean up the mess.

Went to Halifax bank yesterday (non-teller stuff) waited my turn to be seen (busy due to them also dealing with Lloyds punters)
Up to the counter at last and I say ‘ I’m looking for some advice on doing an international bank transfer’ Without batting an eye the fells say ‘we don’t give advice’

Literally one step behind him on the wall in large 12" embossed lettering is the words “help & advice” My wife pointed that out to him but I still had to re-word my query to ‘learn the correct procedure’

Ah, he was steering you towards making an "informed choice".
