I saw the video and actually swore at my phone. That poor child is going to end up being super sheltered by mummy because of her choices of a name otherwise he’ll be terrorised for it and then have to hope he can change it and choose something when he’s older.

A few years ago I was collecting my car from a service when I noticed the mechanic had left his piece box on the front passenger seat.
I took it in to reception and joked about it.
As I am driving out the receptionist flags me down and said its not his he found it under the front seat.
I opened the box to find a disgusting mouldy mess of cheese bread and grapes, looked like it had been there for months.

Look for the £5 meal deal - it's better than the cheaper supermarkets. I've stopped taking my own lunch recently. It's not worth the effort.

My irritations with work imposed IT changes continues.
Today we’ve had an email stating it’s compulsory that we are to sign up for a new accommodation and travel booking system, supposedly easier for tracking and payments of bookings. (Cool makes sense)
Problem is to sign up you have to enter a home phone number and work phone number. You can’t leave these fields blank, you can’t enter a mobile number as it returns an error “any number beginning 07 in these fields is not acceptable, please enter a valid number before continuing”
Issue there is we have no work numbers, all phones were removed to enforce the use of comms and calls through MSTeams to save money! Other issue is myself and 90% of people I work with don’t have home phones as either there is no need for it in the modern world or majority of the lads don’t have homes so have nothing but mobiles!!
Tried pointing this out to the higher ups only to be told well maybe you should get a home phone and stop troubling us with these questions and just get registered!!
So as a result the rollout has failed! As nobody can register for it because we can’t get past the compulsory fields because we can’t meet the criteria the powers that be set out! Also means nobody can book anything for upcoming stuff without the new system being used! So we’re stuck!! The irony is the same people are the ones who had all phone lines removed from work

Public sector client I am working with has a similar system. There’s no EDC validation and the data isn’t used for anything (basically out of the box default fields that were left in) so we just used 01234 123456 and it worked fine.My irritations with work imposed IT changes continues.

This is more common than you'd think.
I started a Change Role at a very well known company a few years back who'd started the ball rolling in similar way. Most of the workforce hadn't used Skype (pre MS Teams) before either.
Wish I'd known the situation before agreeing a day rate
I guess I could come out of retirement over winter!
