This for me too, I had 18 staff reporting to me directly at one time in the PO, by far and away the worst aspect of the jobI sympathise. Staff issues are the bane of my work life

Sorry, maybe I worded that badly. Did you agree to her request to take 3 as holiday or did you refuse / withdraw the Saturday options?I offered her the 4 Saturdays as she had asked for extra hours and she said yes. Then when I sent the rota out she emailed me to say she can only do 1 but take the rest as holiday.
I don't answer unknown numbers, and if I did, I wouldn't trust that it wasn't a scam. If I log into my Lotto account and see it, then I'd believe it.To stop you getting your hopes up… if you have won the jackpot then they phone you. No I haven’t won - but the winning process features in magazine and Sunday paper articles occasionally.

I must have been lucky. They didn’t give me enough when having the snip
Now that really hurt .
They had to top me up.![]()
Our cat deciding to bring in not 1, not 2, but 3 presents today!
So far today I’ve had to clear up a bird and mouse from the hallway, and just minutes ago catch a mouse it brought in alive in the dining room that he was literally playing Cat and Mouse with! Where were my kids when this went on! Filming him playing thinking it was funny![]()
Little gits been at it again today. Rarely does it when Mrs M is at home as he’s her baby and plays on it. With me it’s like he’s stamping authority to show who’s the AlphaMy inlaws cat was like that , they lived next to a barn and my FiL took to putting little blobs of paint on the mice heads to see if it was bringing the same one in every time.
I once had a nearby neighbours pet rabbit brought in to me.
One of our suppliers called me this morning and told me they had sold their business and all future orders must go to the new company.
Err, no. We don't have them as a registered supplier and, as a large company, we go through a fairly torturous route to get a new supplier approved.
Cue a few weeks of hassle.
Oh the joys of being a small company and just making decisions about who to buy from within seconds and without issues. Is it best for us? Yes, then get on with it.
Yip I can agree, kidney stones and gall bladder pain is horrendous but I can raise you to another level with - pancreatitis, you don't want that, believe me you don't !I must have been lucky.
I had my snip done about 30 years ago and the blade to carry out the work appeared about 10 seconds after the injection went in. I was praying for it to work and it did. I never felt a thing. Again a bit sore afterwards, but nothing excruciating.
I also had a carcinoma about the size of a 50p piece removed from underneath my right eye under anaesthetic. Again, never felt a think and it looked like a great job when I saw it in a mirror straight after the op. The following morning I looked like I had done 10 rounds with Mike Tyson.
But..
I had a kidney stone and cripes that hurt. Even my missus said, when we went to see the doctor and he asked about the pain said "you're talking about a man here with a high pain threshold". I've even heard some women and nurses say that pain is up there with childbirth.
I work for an energy supplier and found a company I wanted to use to help us write our standard operating procedures, basically AI watches what you're pressing on screen and spits it out in seconds, rather than taking screenshots and typing it which can take days...anyway, took this to procurement and got a boll..telling off for "maverick activity", when I should've asked them to find 3 companies who could do the same and go through the whole process in case I was getting a backhander.Oh the joys of being a small company and just making decisions about who to buy from within seconds and without issues. Crazy thing that happens quite regularly. We produce a niche product that is tricky to find elsewhere. We often get contacted by an end user who wants the product but tells me that another company on their approved list will contact me to buy it. So, instead of buying the product at price X they buy it at price X plus the margin added by the approved supplier. Happens time and time again.
