Well Royal mails parcel delivery have stitched me up yet again! Had the debacle last time of paid for slots.

This time I had 2 parcels due to arrive tracked and signed for yesterday , delivery man turns up promptly with only 1 parcel and says that’s all the deliveries they have for me so I signed for it and bid him farewell and thought I’d see if the other turned up later! Nope!

Log into the delivery app this morning to be greeted with the msg of your parcel wasn’t delivered as the driver couldn’t find your address! Queue more moaning at them over the phone and me having to ask how the driver who delivered my parcel from the same company with same delivery slot couldn’t find my address when they have evidence of me signing for one of them with the same delivery man! Now I’ve got to spend a wasted day hoping it’ll turn up today!

I need to start finding companies that use different delivery mechanisms, Sherpa, carrier pigeon or even dare I say it Yodel!! They’d all be better.

I always recall the lovely Mrs BB telling me childbirth was painful. She’s clearly never woken up in the middle of the night, desperate for a wee, and trodden on a three pin plug. Now THAT is pain.

As for the snip, I had my bits lasered. The pain was manageable. The smell of burning made me slightly nauseous.

Three injections required on one side before I couldn't feel the scalpel slicing through my nuts.

...and then one of the supermodel assistants (3 of them!!!) said that she just needed to apply some anaesthetic spray after I'd been sewed up, and that it might sting a little....can only imagine that she applied an oxy-acetylene torch to my nuts such was the pain.

On the up side....i spent the next three days sat in front of the telly with several bags of frozen veg, watching the Ryder Cup.

Made me chuckle.

Woke up this morning email from the National lottery with 'You have won '. Given that the jackpot was over 200m when i went to bed, i woke up with that special millionaire feeling.

Won a princely £4.10.

Won a princely £4.10.

£0.40 more than I won on Friday night. I had the same email on Saturday morning, very tense logging on, usual disappointment

2nd irritation of the day! The wannabe tiger has just brought in his 4th present of the week. This time a mouse proudly brought it in and sat in the front room with it hanging out of his mouth looking at me for gratitude

Why did I take this week off

I have a member of staff who asked me if possible could she have more hours.
So I have given her the next 4 Saturdays with her agreement.
She has now said she can’t work 3 of them but can she take them as holiday so she still gets paid for them.

Got to admire her nerve I guess

Yeah mine too. I have explained that holiday is only to be used for normal working hours (she does Mon-Fri 09.00-17.00).
She doesn’t think it’s fair and if it was someone else I would do it for them and I’m picking on her.
The fact she is the laziest and least useful member of staff seems to of completely escaped her.

I offered her the 4 Saturdays as she had asked for extra hours and she said yes. Then when I sent the rota out she emailed me to say she can only do 1 but take the rest as holiday.
