Random Irritations

2 unpopular reasons I tend to dislike this time of year....and I don't mind of you disagree...
1. The Strictly lineup is confirmed
2. The Footy season is back after what seems like a 5 minute off season.....during which many of the seemed to continue to play matches.

Both dominate the news and I'm not interested in either....
I’m 100% with you on the Strictly thing, it’s everywhere and Mrs M loves it so I I use your 2nd irritation to dodge it in the other room 😂

Tired of being the sandwich generation..

MIL… pushing 80s & battling cancer… worked all her life. Her energy level is dependent on the meds she has. But no way you can dampen the enthusiasm. Ask her to stay in bed and recover. 30 mins later she is cooking or in garden or knitting or something. She is supposed to rest but good luck.

On the other hand.. teenagers during school hols. I can’t pay my son to wake up and move his arm

I feel your pain! We lost my dad 2yrs ago in October to Cancer, you couldn’t get him to sit still, playing golf, mowing the lawn, building new steps outside the house for my mum.

Yet today just trying to get my teenage son and daughter to get out of bed, shower and even to eat something! Im surprised they even have the energy or brain power to breathe somedays! I might as well pee into the wind I’ve more luck of a positive result!

My son and his girlfriend are staying with us at the moment.
I went to bed at 02.00 this morning with a nice clean house, woke up at 06.00 and looks like a bomb has it the place.
There were 6 cups on the table this morning so rather than wash one they just got another out, there is a pizza box on the kitchen floor and the Mrs doing her nut that the oven and air fryer are filthy.
No sign of life yet from them but I wouldn’t want to be him when his mother gets hold of him.
Makes a change for someone else to be in the doghouse

Our last retort/resort was to dump the empty takeaway boxes and cans on their bed. They got the message…

I've probably been irritated by this before, we're on our trip to London for her pre birthday meal, I refuse to believe this is how fast a grown woman can walk.
Is she slow or quick? We are just at Euston now before getting our train home. I've been told off all trip for walking too quickly by daughter, husband and son-in-law.

Slow...in her defence I'm 6ft 2 and she's 5ft 1.

Talking of Euston, nobody checked our tickets from Wolverhampton, could've got here for free 🙄
