Random Irritations

Small branches of big chain supermarkets that are removing their litter bins and putting up signs stating it's "To comply with new legislation."
I thought that the legislation made them responsible for sorting the recyclables but they seem to be pretending that bins have been banned in order to avoid the responsibility.

Some of the singers voices at Glastonbury, wow shocking. I thought you needed a reasonably good voice to get noticed and subsequently signed by a record label 😳
I've managed to avoid the whole event, deliberately, but this morning I caught some on the news. I managed to hear both Rod Stewart and Olivia Rodrigo sing out of tune 😱.

As a music lover, you, not me, does being there change things? Do you get so caught up in the moment that you don't pick up on the vocals?

To give them a bit of an out, it might be difficult to get the sound right in their monitors, out in the open with a lot of crowd noise. If you can't hear your own voice it's quite hard to sing perfectly.

They pretty much all use in ear monitors, so that shouldn’t be an issue for their singing.

Personally, I would never put Rod Stewart in any list of great singers. Love his music and he has got his own style, but great singing voice? Not really.

Tag team sickness

Been up half the night with eldest as we think she has whooping cough. Which considering she has asthma she has been panicking she will have an attack with that cough.

111 put her mind at ease and told us to go to chemist when they open (have to admit did think it was drs but they confirmed to go to a chemist)

Only positive is she is such a better patient than the eldest twin who was awful all last week. She's just gone kicking and screaming back to school

I don't mind if a singer/musician hits a bum note now and again...proves that they're doing it live....
Agreed, it's more about the vibe and energy sometimes. I used to go and watch the Cribs a few times around London, and you certainly wouldn't say they had impeccable singing voices, but they were still incredible to watch.

Visit any National Trust property and they do not have any litter bins. They expect you to take your own rubbish home with you.

Parents in the school group chat moaning that the children should've been given the day off, because it's hot.

You don't know the difference between your and you're, maybe you should join them.

Maybe live in the audience it’s hard to spot mistakes or being slightly out of tune, the sound probably won’t be great as well but yeah if you like the artist you’re singing along with it. Through the live tv/radio mix though it’s absolutely stark how out of tune some people are, some are highly considered diva type singers so I’m expecting them to nail it every time. Maybe my expectations are just too high 🤷🏻‍♂️🤣

Fancy expecting a professional singer to sing in tune. Definitely have unreasonable expectations there 😂

Can you imagine being in a musical on the West End and not hitting the notes? That would be a very short career.

Whilst this is true.. much like the EV fire debate it only matters if it happens

If the refrigerate stays inside the unit it's perfectly safe and doesn't have an impact..only if it leaks or when draining the system it's not replaced correctly.

Which is why when a car air condition gas is replaced the machine has to count the same amount in as out to prove they haven't leaked anything. (Or it hasn't leaked in first place)
Woman let girl under 10 drive car through village https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cyvjjy5j35zo

I have no words. Just read the article and try to stop your jaw from hitting the floor.
I hope she is banned from driving for life.

Not in the parkland but they have good recycling and litter bins around the cafes where litter is generated.
It's not like any supermarket doesn't already have its staff sifting through the large amount of rubbish they generate out the back.
