Random Irritations

Someone shouted fore on an adjoining hole as we were walking to the next tee, I ducked behind my trolley then bang, the ball landed right on said trolley and I saw plastic fly off. The latch for the battery has snapped (CT6) and the bloke didn’t even come over and apologise.
It still works but doesn’t latch in place, hopefully a bit of superglue will fix it.

Someone deciding that only one country did anything in World War 2 so changing the name of VE and Armistice Day

“He wrote online: "We won both wars. Nobody was close to us in terms of strength, bravery, or military brilliance, but we never celebrate anything. That's because we don't have leaders anymore, that know how to do so. So we are going to start celebrating our victories again."

Speaks the man who side stepped a D day memoriam because it was raining.

Old age. I know it's better than the alternative but I'm not enjoying my body telling me it's falling apart.

Now it's the knees. Never had any bother with them till the last couple of months. Jumped off the back of van on Friday. Excruciating pain, and now the size of a Zeppelin!

Hopefully not in too much bad taste but…..Zeppelins do eventually go down.🙂

Hand dryers, are the deliberately designed to cut out before your hands are dry.
Yes. It's an arrangement between the manufacturers and the electricity suppliers.

The ones in Tescos could save a lot more money if they shut off the water earlier.

I do miss the covid days when they supplied paper rolls at the entrances. I would always grab some to dry my hand with after using the blower, the paper in the toilets does not work as well.

Sounds like it could have been ALOT worse 😨

But still frustrating for you.
Think I’d have waited for him to come to his ball & show him the damage.

The lid on the dust cylinder of our vacuum cleaner keeps popping open, emptying all of the dust and dirt that it has just vacuumed up 🙄.

I can buy a replacement but it has been very frustrating using it this morning.

Electrical tape or duck tape?
Or get a bagged vacuum;)
It's the catch that opens when you actually want to empty it. I could tape it but then I'd be doing it every time. If it's pricey then tape is the answer, if not I may as well replace that cylinder.

We have a Henry at work. Great vacuum but the convenience of a cordless at home is worth every penny.

Agreed, financial regulation of this industry is required asap.
I don't think so. If you think about it, it would be that much for a human, so why would an animal be less? I'm afraid it is what it is. This is why we do not, and never will have, a pet dog or cat.

Motorists on the motorway who, when seeing a National Highways Traffic Officer’s car, report a police vehicle sighting on Google Maps.

Come on, people. Highways Traffic Officers have been around for the best part of 20 years. If you can’t tell the difference between them and the police after all this time there’s no helping you.
How do they do this?

My main irritation with Amazon deliveries is that most drivers just dump the parcel on the doorstep and walk away without even bothering to ring the doorbell.
Today they left a 5TB hard disk on my doorstep (and the email confirming delivery said it had been posted through the letterbox). Not something I want to have left lying about for anyone to help themselves to. A few weeks ago I had an online chat with their customer service to register my displeasure, but of course nothing has changed.
JUst tell them it's been nicked and get another one. Now I'm now saying this to be dishonest, just if everyone did this, Amazon would improve their delivery checks.
