Good point but I wasn't sure if the fines went into a central pot and if the local force had to find the costsThe fines for just a couple of the participants (criminals) cover it easily.

Just to add balance to your post. The guy on the course I was on who thought the speed limit on motorways should be 80mph and disagreed with the instructors was in his 40's.
Just saying.

getting a puncture coming down the steep hill into Dores the other day. Tire nearly rolled off the rim, really scary. changed the inner tube quickly and easily but struggled to pump it up to the correct pressure. had to ride very gingerly back , which wasn't easy as the Dores loop trail back alone the ness is very bumpy and uneven.

I carry a mini pump which used to struggle with higher volumes or pressures.
There's a lot of noise about mini electric pumps atm - do you know anyone who uses one?
I've been looking at them, which was a mistake as now I'm inundated with ads for them. one of the guys i know has one, i think its only good for one pump, most of them us the mini canisters. i still use an old mini pump. but i think that's had its day, I've never had an issue with it before , but its 20 years old now.

My lad has one in his cycling bag. Small battery one that will last to do two tyres quite quickly.
He does mad 50 odd mile rides so I insisted he learns how to repair punctures and that he carries a pump at all times. He bought the battery one himself.

In last couple of days YouTube has changed the way you could skip ads so that basically now you can’t…unless you pay for a Premium subscription - and I’m just not into doing that.
And while I’m at it…Netflix are enforcing their Network Household policy…meant Netflix on our TV stopped working last night for my Mrs as she didn’t know what had happened and that we had to register our TV as being on our Household network. Not a big deal to fix when you know…but…
