Random Irritations

Just read a story on social media about a bloke that transitioned. Now in constant pain from surgery and complications from drugs etc. Wants to sue the doctors that carried out the procedure. Feel sorry for him but too many people are doing this without thinking about the long term implications and their ongoing mental health. There will be thousands more of these cases in years to come.

Selfish moron next door parking that ridiculous van again.

This is why I took the time to turn my car round after our day out knowing I had to take the girls swimming tomorrow. Just knew that prat would return the van again like last Saturday night.
Likewise continue to be irritated by the couple not resident on our road who park outside our house as it is most convenient for them when there is ample space on the road elsewhere in the immediate vicinity that is not outside a resident's house. And I am 99% certain that they do it deliberately to wind me up. If they subsequently moved their car asap to a vacant nearby spot that's fine - as that's what other residents do - but not this couple. Aaaand relax.

Put a dropped kerb in and off road parking. Problem solved.

1. Why do you think they are winding you up?
2. If it is a public road, annoying as it is, they are allowed to do so.

They don’t give a monkey’s…parking outside our house is convenient for them even though they don’t live on our road - and they don’t care that their parking might cause us an inconvenience. And of course they are allowed…but most of the time they don’t have to. The residents of our road try to avoid parking outside another’s house. It’s often unavoidable, but we move as soon as we can. This couple don’t bother - it’s not as if they don’t know…they know. They persist.

Sometimes I am irritated, sometimes a little sometimes a lot; and sometimes (most times) I am not…it’s pretty random…so a random irritation.

My neighbour is just a selfish idiot. He knocked today as my in-laws were on shared drive which is fair enough they moved, within 2 mins I might add

When we ask them to move it takes 20 mins for anyone to even appear

Had to ask him to move his bins few months ago. He had a hot tub installed (which we had to sort out the builders as he told them was fine to put the skip on the shared.. erm no it's not) so then he had his bins where the hot tub was now down shared drive .. fine but at first he had them so you couldn't drive a car down there I politely pointed out could they just be left 2 metres further down so they are in front of his garage so a car could fit down "oh I didn't think of that" ofc you didn't . You don't think of anyone else

Park your vehicle in that spot?

Sounds like you need to move for your sanity.

We try...if we can before they do. Usually plenty of parking closer to their front door - parking that they choose not to use.

In a victorian/edwarding town cul-de-sac parking is always going to be tricky - so the residents of our road try to park outside their own house as far as possible, and when they can't and have to park outside some else's front door they try and move their car as soon as they can. It's just a courtesy to our neighbors for most of us - this pair don't live on our road and don't seem to give a monkey's where they park as long as its convenient for them - and they will leave it there until they can be bothered moving - and that can be many days.

But hey..there you go. It's my random irritation and I have to deal with it. There are many and much more pressing issues that we have to deal with...could just do without this niggle.

Dog friendly cafes and pubs/restaurants. I’m not anti dog ( well not totally anti dog) but food and animals do not hygenically go together.

No issue with it, I spent a lot of time in Germany and dogs were welcome pretty much everywhere.

My only issue is that every dog owner thinks their dog is suitable to take to a pub or restaurant. They are not. Seen so many dogs that don't like crowds, strangers, other dogs or who simply will do sit quietly brought to our village pub.

I would think you are far more likely to get a bug as a result of poor hygiene practices by the humans preparing your food than from a hound that happens to be in the building.

And I've witnessed hundreds of humans in pubs and restaurants who shouldn't have been allowed outside without supervision. Maybe 2 dogs and they were both being supervised; just badly.

Well trained dogs are better than badly trained humans.

We were at Hand and Flowers recently and there was a couple seating near us acting like drunk teenagers in Weatherspoons

At one stage she straddled him grinding and feeding him food

Waiter asked for them to calm it down a bit and show the rest of the diners a bit of respect , she just swore at him

It was then the Maitre D came over and asked them to check the terms of the voucher they were using , they have two choices to stay and pay for the rest of the food themselves or leave now
