I was at a gig last night and there was a couple in front of us that just kept talking to each other throughout the whole thing. During the section where they play two quieter songs on acoustic, all I could hear was them nattering away over the top! What's the point of paying 60 quid for a ticket if you're not going to listen to any of it?? Morons. I was going to have a word, but another chap in front beat me to it - they quietened down for all of about one minute before carrying on again. Until the two or maybe three of their favourite ones, where the chap did a performative dance for everyone while filming it on his phone. It's enough to put you off going to gigs altogether.

I started to see this behaviour a few years ago, particularly during outdoor gigs. It really annoyed me because there just seemed to be loads who just wanted an evening out on the booze and the music was just for background. I've noticed also that talking during stage shows has got more prevalent, as well as those who think it's perfectly ok to sing along to the musicals. Believe me i'd rather see and hear the person whose paid to sing the song than some out of tune idiot who can't even remember the words, let alone get anywhere near the note! Some musicals now start with a polite request for the audience not to sing along during the show, but I guess they were still chatting while the announcement was made!!

seen a post on SM that Eurosport channel is going off air end of Feb. will now be on the TNT £30 per month. for something thats been free since it started in the 80s a real kicker for cycling fans. TDF wont be FTA this year.

Try and drive on the roads around Chepstow and you'll see as much TdF reenactment as you can take.

All across the road, holding up traffic, they love it. Splendid.

Yep it's been mentioned on here. I love the cycling and cyclo-cross stuff. They actually have the nerve to advertise it as a benefit!

TBh i prefer the spring classics, nothing quite like watching Flanders for 5 hours

It's very disappointing.
All the wintersports goes as well.
They'll certainly not be getting £30/ month from me.
I'm sure that I'll still be able to see what I want, but I don't think my 86 year old father will be investigating the options, so he'll really miss it.
I think the biathlon is streamed on the IBU site, so I'll probably try and set that up for him for next season.

Yep. Tennis too. I won't pay for it out of principle. Same reason I won't pay for BT/TNT. I hate how they keep spreading it around and expect the punter just to fork out more every month.

As we speak, Usain is on Runners forum telling everyone he was once at the baggage carousel with LT and he still cannot understand why he never got a photo.

If I see someone famous I just say hello and ask how they are if I can. Otherwise I just keep walking, it's like when everyone is recording stuff on their phone , gigs and such . I'd rather just watch and keep the memories through my own eyes.
