First and foremost, who suggested because you are against the death penalty “ we are somehow to blame”. No one. Nope what I am saying is nothing has changed over the years re sentencing, so nothing will change re this crime and we have to accept it will happen again and this Conversation will rear its head again. Will it be a deterrent, I don’t think it will

Well I’m sure some things have changed

Number of serial killers has reduced

Murders has reduced

But I don’t think there will ever be a deterrent to stop people killing someone

He literally makes my skin crawl.

They have a new show starting this evening with him and Joanna Page. They will want to avoid binning that off and writing off the cost before an episode is shown. I do wonder if that show was not about to go out whether they would have dropped him by now. It's not a good look.

I think it's an insurance thing. Working for the Post Office we were told not to open a second early because if a customer goes base over tip in the building before time then we are liable.

Maybe but in retail I was never aware that the insurance cover started at xxAM and finished at yyPM. I get if cables, hazards etc are still strewn across the floor & you don’t want a shopful but signage etc would still be used to protect staff from tripping & anyway its not gonna be hazard heavy area so close to opening
Most of the time I think its because the person unlocking has done it a thousand times before and doesn’t really care if its +/- 30 seconds (prob due to being on min wage, undervalued etc) & both ‘sides’ have forgotten its actual human ppl on each side of the door
