That's the thing people all over the globe starving yet we rushed to space

Poem from the moon landing days

"A rat done bit my sister Nell.
(with Whitey on the Moon)
Her face and arms began to swell.
(and Whitey's on the Moon)
I can't pay no doctor bill.
(but Whitey's on the Moon)
Ten years from now I'll be paying still.
(while Whitey's on the Moon)"

Nobody seems to want to solve equality they just want to go onto the next thing

There must be a balance between addressing societal problems and innovation. One shouldn’t be to the detriment of the other but that’s capitalism.

John Lewis. What an omnishambles of a company.

Ordered stuff a month ago, it was never delivered and no refund.

Finally get speaking to someone that doesn't seem to know what they are doing, tells me that I've left it too long for a refund (despite delivery not actually taking place), then when I finally get the sentient points across, only refunds me partially.

Their order system clearly does not take feeds from the delivery/fulfilment systems and prevents auto refunds when deliveries fail. This is basic stuff in Customer Experience 101 delivery.

Changing barbers. Finally bitten the bullet and am going to use a barber near where I work as it is a hassle getting to the one I use at weekends.

Am I the only one who finds a barber and then just goes there religiously until the place closes forcing me to find a new one. It is very rare for me to change voluntarily.

You're certainly not the only one. My brother in law has had the same barber for about 15 years and still gets haircuts from them even though they've shut up shop!

I've used the same one for about 6 months now but previously, with moving about a bit in the last 5 years, I'd just gone wherever does walk ins.

Amazon Prime, order within the next x hours and your parcel will arrive before 10pm tonight.
Confirmation email comes through, your parcel will be delivered tomorrow…🤔

Ah that old trick , it auto sets it to deliver tomorrow unless you change it to today

Yes! They know where I want my beard trimmed to, how short I take my trim etc. It’s a worry if they’re not open that I’ll get scalped.

After moving out of my parents house I still went back to the barbers near them for like the next 10 years. Only in the last 4 or 5 years have I actually branched out and tried the more convenient local ones. 😆

Few advantages of being allergic to growing hair on the head is my hair cuts cost roughly £40 per 5 years or however often I change my head shaver 🤣

This new one has a nice attachment that gets the beard at my preferred length so every 2 days boom upside down head look

Every week when I visit my dad we go out for a pub dinner. There are a couple of really nice, really reliable pubs nearby but today he insisted on trying a pub we've both driven past a thousand times but never entered, even though it's within 5 miles of where he's lived for 65 years and where I grew up.
I thought it would be awful but it failed to even reach those heights.
If you ever happen to play Hollinwell and decide to try a local pub, don't pick the one that's nearest.
If there was an east midlands Shameless theme pub it would be in Annesley.

I've reached that age when it's no longer the hair on my head that dictates when I go to the barber. It's now my eyebrows that tell me it's time to go.

As an aside, why has nobody ever told Jeremy Clarkson that you can get the barber to sort out your eyebrows? His eyebrows randomly irritate me.

Someone at work used to pay his barber to do his eyebrows (shaved his owe head) but I opened his eyes to doing it yourself with a head shaver on setting 3...

Altho the other week I did forget to put the blade cover on other doing side of my head.. that was a fun few days walking around without brows 😂

During the summer I tend to shave my head and then let it grow a bit longer in winter. Did an offshore trip where I forgot my clippers and asked if anyone on board had some I could borrow. One of the guys lent me his, so I set it to my regular number 2 and shaved a strip down the middle of my head. I thought it looked very short but at that point I was committed to continue. Didn't realise that his were beard clippers not hair clippers and there's a big difference between the length of the settings. Was almost bald after I finished.
