Random Irritations

Conspiracy theorists.

We have one at work

So far today we have had

(Someone's going to America, trump came up) thing is those riots weren't by trump supports just made to look like

Thing is about this heat wave is they saying it's 42 degree is actually 37 and the fires were started by people (true but the fact it's dry it goes mental)

Trans has been created to control people (I've switched off now to hear why the hell that one works)

I mean this guy used to be fully sensible yet COVID lock down he went full on tin foil hat 🤯
Conspiracy theorists tend to be people who massively overestimate their own intelligence and knowledge.

"Depends where you get your research from"

He said something about ulez earlier so I said but wait the uni of London have proven what you just said to be wrong

"Yeah but look were there funded from" my god ...

Bill gates seems to be the key to his theories aswell

What should have been a great weekend of sport just being a bit meh.

Couldn't agree more. Started with the Women's football not really going as hoped. Cricket has been downright depressing. I even switched over from the golf with a few holes to play.

Exactly, that was my weekend of entertainment whilst my wife had friends staying. Football was depressing after the euros, cricket was equally depressing and the golf was just meh. At least it is only 2 weeks until we get some rugby in TV.

Good point.
But we needed a holiday, mrs had a hard time with her mother having a stroke just after Christmas.

Plus have you seen price of hols in school holidays?
Have you ever considered that those prices are what teachers and their families have to pay for all of their careers? With no option to take a week off and pay a fine or two.

After my wife left teaching last year we had our cheapest holiday week ever - we married just after she completed teacher training almost 40 years ago.

Florida girl awarded $800,000 for McDonald's Chicken McNugget burn https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-66260956

We’re out in Florida at the moment. It’s not the first time we’ve been here by any means, and the potential for the Americans to litigate has never been lost on me, but virtually every roadside advert is for litigation lawyers.

We were on Clearwater beach yesterday and a single seater aircraft flew by towing a banner. To my dismay it didn’t say “Glazers Out” - it was advertising yet another lawyer offering their services to anyone injured in a fender bender.

Really boils my wee.

Saturday wasn’t too bad in terms of coverage but what I watched was, as you say, “a bit meh.” Yesterday, Sunday, was just dreadful. No cricket, and the final match now being a dead rubber. And no one pushing Harman. He didn’t have to chase pins, and it became a procession like the F1 race from Hungary.

The misleading graphics on the BBC weather App. This is tomorrow’s forecast, 1 hour of 33% rain chance but the graphic for the entire day is a black cloud and a raindrop despite this being the descriptive icon for 1 hour.

It’s to allow people to prepare for the worst at a glance. They will often show the most significant weather in advance.

So the description has to be the worst hour? Really?

Also define significant - for some that might be the hour with the most UV exposure, for others the windiest etc.etc.

Driving up from Chertsey to Glasgow on Friday. Just over 400 miles took just under 10 hours. Yes, we were towing a caravan but it was mainly down to road works, heavy traffic, accidents, etc. I don't think we'd have been much faster without it.
