Random Irritations

Nail in new tyre causing puncture on motorway 3 hours from home!😵‍💫

On the upside... RAC were quick and efficient. Why don't cars have spares any more ?🤔
Saves weight, less emissions. The govt keeps lowering the targets for lower tax, bik etc, all based on emissions numbers. You can't blame the mfrs for taking this action, they were pushed into it.

Not.being able to get a calor gas bottle for the bbq without having one to exchange 😡
It's a pity you're in Kent as I have a spare 15kg blue Calor butane gas bottle I was gifted, but I now use Gaslight Propane .
It's 3 years old, seemingly only been used once, it's still full and works but with very low pressure.
It's free if anyone wants it (y) .

Well you made the post and it’s behind a paywall. I’m guessing the article doesn’t actually provide that information…rather crucial if we are talking ‘natural’ as opposed to commercial forest. Certainly vast swathes of the southern uplands were covered in commercial forestry planted during the 70s and 80s - much of which 40+ yrs later having reached its commercial maturity has been, and continues to be, felled - to be the perfect location for, and replaced by, wind farms. Just thought the article would give that differentiation, it’s rather important. If it’s all or mostly commercial then I’d suggest there’s not a lot to be worried about.

July.
The month of hose pipe bans, scorched fairways and dried up lakes and rivers.
I don't know what it's like where you are but it's been persisting it down here for ages.
Pouring down here, just a few miles up coast from Hoylake. Don't envy those spectators one bit. Had the best of it on Thursday when I went it seems.
