Random Irritations

The amount of roadworks, signal updates, housing estate building that has brought my town to a virtual standstill. Good job I know all the rat runs otherwise I wouldn't go out in the car in the day.
 
On way to London… took the 7:55.. train arrives at 7:53… Wowzer..

No signal till 7:58… we apologise for delay to service.. now being continuously held up everywhere
 
HS2 works beginning to bite.
For the next few years 4 of the 5 major routes into town will have delays as they start to re-route roads in preparation for the track laying.
And I have to use 1 out of 3 of them to get to the golf club....
There's already been delays on each on for 2 years or more but it's about to step up a notch.
Any additional roadworks or crashes are going to completely gridlock the town.
I suppose they've gone too far to pull the plug now but I wish they would.....

That reminds me of the time the factory burnt down. I stockpiled for a year and it was up and running again within 6 months.

Sounds like Yeovil.

Trouble I have found over the years is more and more people get to know the rat runs and they have become rat crawls.
 
So busy working how to get past all the road works yesterday I forgot to buy petrol when I was in town. Just getting home and on came the low fuel warning message.

Used to stay in the 5 bells, Weston Turville, when working in the head office in HH. The run up to the Crow’s Nest was a ball ache whether turning right onto the A41 or turning left then going right at the roundabout. And it’s going to get worse?! Aylesbury isn’t traffic friendly at the best of times.

Its certainly not going to improve. Lots of delays between Wendover and Missenden so the A41 gets clogged up with those trying to get round it.
The track i coming out of the tunnel just south of Wendover and then pushing up the southwest side of Aylesbury
Other routes in are going to get busier.
All the pain for no gain unless you want to try and board a train travelling 250mph....
