Random Irritations

In recent years the mfrs have started printing on the box what batteries would be required. Very useful for parents, not having to guess the correct size and numbers.

I was talking about the 1950s :ROFLMAO:

I reckon every sensible household now has a draw of batteries, given just how many devices now require them. Back then the TV remote control was dad telling me or my brother to get up and twiddle the knob on the TV

Problem now is it could be a AA, AAA or those little circle ones, and there can be a few different types of those 😨. Having the batteries on the box isn't that recent. It didn't happen originally when my kids were younger, 2,000's but came in by 2010's I'd say

Delighted before Xmas that the play kitchen we bought from Lidl came with batteries included . And thinking back most things weve bought lately seem to have batteries included 😀

If I had my time again I’d make my millions supplying tyres and suspension components to the motor industry.

Driving in the UK in 2026 is akin to driving in a Third World country.
Generally, our roads haven't been too bad for the last year...but in the last few weeks - unsurprisingly coinciding with the cold snap - they've turned into ploughed fields....
If only they maintained roads rather than repair them....

When I came back from West Country last week I went along the a41 from Bicester to Aylesbury for a major round it was a nightmare the amount of pot holes and breaks in the road - and not surprisingly a lot near where there is a big HS2 works
