Random Irritations

Ah, Lewis’s - a real pity shops like that are few and far between these days.

i think almost everyone relied on hp or even renting in the 70s and 80s.
Rented TVs, catalogs used for buying lots of things and paying them up.
Back in the day I used to work for Radio Rentals as a debt collector! It was OK to collect a nominal payment at the door, until I had to disconnect the set, as they called it. I hated it, imagine the scene, a young mother with children, "I've come to disconnect your set as we haven't received rental payments", to then walk out with the TV leaving them in floods of tears!
Needless to say, I didn't stay long in that job!

Took the wife and eldest for a late lunch

Call midway from dentist (appointment 1615) can you come in now.. well not this minute. Agreed 1520 was earliest I could get there

Moving house. 15 days to go and the massive declutter has started.
Put a load of stuff on FB marketplace earlier. Jeez! It’s been like a Boxing Day sale…

Currently banked over €1,000 selling just bits and pieces. Sofas, sofa bed, computer desk & a virtually unused king sized bed going tonight.

How the nice weather brings absolute bawbags out. The road down to my golf club is a narrow 12th century street that has double yellows down either side pretty much all the way down to the beach. At least 20 cars parked on the double yellows making it incredibly difficult to get past, all so they don’t have to walk a quarter mile more from the main car park.

Lovely to see a van take a Porsche Cayenne’s wing mirror clean off though, even smashed the passenger window in the process. Guess they shouldn’t have parked at the narrowest part of the road.
