Our local news headlining with the story of a very stupid woman who had a severe reaction to something she squirted up her nose to get more tan from the sunbed! Unlicensed and actually banned - but hey the poor poppet didn't know that. She felt like she was drowning in her own body. Poor thing...someone is to blame but obviously not her for being so stupid and vane!

I think it's borderline but probably the right side of the law. She has been banned from being a trustee of a charity I think.

Yep. Shady all round. I think the funds in question come from his book. She claims he wanted the proceeds to go to the family despite him writing in the book how grateful he was that it was another opportunity to raise charitable funds.
Shameful to act so poorly on the back of what was a wonderful inspiring story during Covid.

SharePoint - making me feel like a luddite at the age of 38. Having to 'check out' documents and being unable to just overwrite the damn thing. What was wrong with an ordinary server that people have access to? SharePoint is a fiddly monstrosity.
I saw that story and felt equally bemused. I'd have thought that was a story you'd want to keep to yourself, out of sheer embarrassment. She wasn't a kid either. Different times........

If you think that was idiotic and best kept to yourself, there was a woman from France on tv recently, telling how she had been contacted on facebook by a scammer pretending to be Brad Pitt, who told her he was in love with her (although they had never met) and persuaded her to send him her life savings of £800,000. This was over the course of a year, when he claimed his bank accounts were frozen because he was going through a messy divorce.

Absolutely nasty scare last night.
Went to collect the boy from school and he never appeared. I drove down all his routes, checked at home, his mates had not seen him. This was getting scary! I got the wife back from the doctors and she checked the neighbours. I went back to the school as they were not answering the phone and managed to get the receptionist who proceeded to check his classes and teachers. Turns out they had brought the theatre trip to London forward a week. They had informed all parents by email and put posters around the school .. well no email was received and posters don’t work if your perpetually bombarded with information!
School doesn’t seem to be that bothered by this .. I am, I don’t want to blame anyone.
I don’t want it repeated, so I want to hear how they will fix it .. it’s simple to do and perhaps less time spent on Mass and finding themselves would help.. because let’s be fair, if God is our shepherd he has a history of losing a lot of sheep, so it’s better to sort this stuff out at ground level!

When I was at school, and my daughters at school, the school would send a piece of paper home requireing a signature from a parent/guardian giving permission for such trips.
