To save money, our local council turn off the street lights overnight.
Sadly, they still haven't realised that the clocks changed 9 days ago.
04.45 and on they go

To be fair, they were left on until midnight (now 11pm), which was good because as we all know, that's when all the miscreants and ne'er-do-wells go to bed.

Just to make things worse, they are blowing £1m changing the market square (which has been trading since the 12th century) into an outdoor, pedestrian only meeting place for those warm summer days/evenings.
It's due to open next month.

Our local council turned the lights on overnight years ago.
Cost me over £200 to replace my curtains with ones that block out light (lamp post right outside of my house).

Two annoyances
1. the reason given was that it was a burglar deterrent, did not stop one having a go at my neighbours house.
2. Nearly everybody has automatic movement detector lights these day so having street lights on is a bit unneeded.

The factory I’m working at has had UB40’s greatest hits blasting out for the last hour. I’m actually surprised how many I know but flipping heck, it’s like being at the worst school disco ever 🤦🏻🤣
I think 2 or 3 songs of theirs is my limit. A whole CD must become very repetitive. I don't want to think how dull a concert would be
