Random Irritations

Remote control car fire!

Just a word of warning.
Was at my daughters this morning, she was working but son in law was outside with my Mrs pegging washing out.

I was sitting with grandson and grandaughter - all of a sudden I heard a loud crack and a woosh behind me and flames two feet high from the charging remote control car.
I screamed out to son in law and we had to react quickly, he grabbed a wet towel and put over car and managed to get it outside and harms way, i grabbed a hoodie hanging over a radiator next to fire just in time before it went up in flames.
Thankfully the only damage was a burn mark on the dark laminate flooring.
It was frightening how quickly it ignited and burst in to flames!

Thankfully we were in the house at the time, otherwise.........
Especially at the moment they are having a room in the roof half way through the build!

The moral of this story is: never leave the house with these toys left on charge!
Jeez scary what could have happened.
I once bought a cheap phone charger off eBay.
Was sat watching the tv with phone on charge, the charger blew out of the socket & tripped electric.
Lesson learned there.

Posted recently about dangers of LiPo batteries in regards RC models. The batteries are scary and some of the cheap cars and chargers you can get should be better regulated.

Anyway. My random irritation today is. Treading spilled diesel off the forecourt into the carpet&cabin of my 5 day old Raptor.

Fireworks! At 6:10am!

Local fiesta for 4 days, last night being the last night. Cracking display but at 6:10am? Really? Rattling the windows from a mile away.

If it's not November 5th fireworks should be banned from sale.

Not quite lifting my leg high enough when stepping from the deck into the accommodation and smacking my shin against the metal bulkhead at the bottom of the door. Already got purple, blue, green and yellow in the bruising.

Bet it doesn't hurt as much as clipping your ankle with a putter......😬

Nationwide's re-branding. Odd and dull to say the least. Thankfully didn't go down the Abdn route, but clearly no one was brave enough to shout, "you gotta be kidding" when the drafts came back!🤣🤣🤣

Customers probably won't care, but the hoardes of current staff on LinkedIn saying how exciting it is, demonstrates folk under orders!😉

This was going to be my random irritation! Their app now looks much like the NatWest app

I've already twice opened the wrong app

Kounde picks up an injury in the Barca game in a phase of play that shouldn't have happened due to an offside, but the rule to let it play on, even when blatantly offside, results in a player getting injured.

You have to wonder if anyone that's actually played the game comes up with or are involved in these rules.

If they hadn't raised the flag in the Liverpool game the other week that goal would have stood

There is a reason for it to be fair

Night terrors. Well we think

Horrible things

Half hour and counting of screaming from Twin 1

Poor little thing , nothing will calm her . 2 weeks and counting of this

I'm in an ex Nationwide staff group on Facebook.

Someone started a discussion about the new branding. Within hours, the admin shut it down! It was universally disliked. The admin said that negative comments were not allowed. Wonder why they started the discussion?

😁😁😁😉
