This trend of silly articles on the lines of "people are just realising such-and-such" and it's something painfully obvious that makes you wonder how many people live with their head in the sand. There's a new one every day, but today's was that people are just realising that the 'female' vocal part in Teenage Dirtbag is just the male singer putting on a silly voice. OF COURSE IT IS! How could you ever listen to that and think it was a real female singer?? I know these things are likely just made up for clicks but it still makes me angry every time. 
There was one the other week where apparently, 'people were just realising' that Rodney (Nicholas Lyndhurst) isn't singing the theme tune of Only Fools and Horses. Why would anyone think it was him?? I'd never heard that before in my life yet people in the comments were actually agreeing! Baffling. (Full disclosure, I thought it was Chas n Dave before realising it was writer John Sullivan but I always thought that was the more common misconception.)

While we are having a dig at ASDA, the number of times the receipt fails to print at the unmanned fuel pumps drives me nuts, must be 10 times now and each time you have to park up and go into the main store, queue for ages at the customer service desk to get a hand written one
A 13m stretch of the A1 north of Morpeth was due to be dualled a few years ago. Plans were drawn up, engineering works happened, houses en route were bought up, all ready to go. It just needed the final signature. Then it got delayed by 9 months, for ' further investigations' to take place. Then it was delayed by another 9 months, and another and today it gets kicked down the road, pun intended, for a further 9 months. Aaarrgghhhhhhhhhhh

Yep, those are some of the worst. Worst one I've seen is the 'life hack' to put the strainer on top of the pasta pot rather than pour the pasta into the strainer. LIFE CHANGING.

If you think that’s bad here is a junction on the M49 that was fully built in 2020 , apart from a 160 metre section, at a cost of £50 million that may just be open in Nov 2024. It's just over 3/4 of a mile, it does have to cross a railway line but even so.....
There was a big song and dance about it, weeks of roadworks and congestion and now.....nothing.
They've just stopped......the end nearest me still has security guards 24/7....easiest job in the world.....
