Professional Golf

Matt Fitz is flying in a SIGNATURE event on the PGAT, Bob Mac and Aberg are right in the mix, and the folk that never watch LIV only seem to want to talk about LIV..

I don't know why, but it's pretty funny.... :ROFLMAO:

Just watching The Heritage at Harbourtown and in the pasthalf hour I’ve seen the
Pros having to hit more creative shots than I’ve seen in all of the rest of the season.
Narrow fairways, overhanging trees and small greens make for a far more interesting watch than I’ve seen for months in the pro game.

Great to watch isn’t it. It’s far and away one of my favourite events they play and an absolute bucket list course for me.

I’ve played it and I can report that it is even tougher than it looks. The fairways are hard to find but Pete Dye style greens are so difficult to get on from the trees. Great fun although the 18th is too difficult for most amateurs as it is difficult to get it close enough to the reeds to give yourself a sensible shot over the waste area to a tight green, we had to go around the right making it a 3 shotter.
Brilliant experience and the area has so many great courses.
Worth taking the boat trip over Daufuskie Sound to play Haig Point, great course and the dolphins around the boat en route make it magical. Wonderful area for a holiday and recommend the Quarterdeck restaurant near the lighthouse. Worth the effort and certainly a doable one on the bucket list.

You’re just seeking it to me even more now. Seen a deal where for just under £3k you get a round there, another at Kiawah and a couple of other courses in the area.

We have done Kiawah as well (however it was about 1.80 dollars to the pound at the time for some reason so not exorbitant). That is a great experience, stay in Charleston, cracking, lively little city with lots of history.
There are a few courses on Kiawah Island, we played Osprey Point and Turtle Point as well - good courses that on their own would be unbelievably good but the Ocean Course is really something else. As at Harbourtown you have to have a Forecaddie but they are great fun and value giving you all the stories etc. The Ocean Course is dramatic and a serious test, I thoroughly recommend taking the caddies advice about which tees to play off, the wrong ones will make it a loooong day.

Looking forward to the RBC final round.. Can Fitz hold off Scheffler and the huge bunch stacked up behing him... A lot windier today on what is already a tough track.
